Hongrae Park, age 16
I am always willing to transfer memorials to family and friends; please don't hesitate to ask if you see I've created a memorial of one of your loved ones.
Have a wonderful day.
Jan. 16, 2017 - I lost my sweet kitty Harold today. My heart is shattered.
On April 16, 2014, the ferry Sewol, en route from Incheon to Jeju Island in South Korea, capsized. Most of the passengers were high school sophomores on a field trip. As the ship sank, the children were ordered to stay in their cabins, and most of the kids obeyed that order. A small number of people on deck were rescued, but the people inside the ship were abandoned by most of the crew and coast guard. The ship took three hours to sink. During that time, the kids recorded videos, took pictures and called their families before they all eventually drowned or died of hypothermia. In the end, 250 kids were killed. All of the children, plus a few teachers, other passengers and crew, are highlighted here. I also have the kids and teachers listed by classroom number on the right. I ask that you please see the faces of these children. Read their stories. Maybe pick a child you feel compelled to pray for, keep their family in your thoughts. This was a horrible, devastating event that should never have happened, and entire communities are still reeling from this loss. Please, remember the victims of the Sewol Ferry Sinking. Remember April 16, 2014.

I took a grave picture but you have a full quota. I can send email if you wish. Mine is firstname.lastname@example.org
It is my pleasure to sponsor the two Dutch girls that bravely fought DIPG. I had never heard of DIPG until last year when I followed the story of a young boy in Hawaii who was diagnosed with it. Within two months he was gone and it broke my heart. DIPG is a horrible cancer. My heart breaks for these families. I plan to sponsor more of these children in the future.
I want to start by saying sorry for not sending this sooner but I was away for a time dealing with hubbys serious health issues.
Thank you so much for visiting my dear sister Mars and the beautiful token you so kindly left for her.
Your visit is very greatly appreciated.
Best wishes from Ireland

Thank you for creating this memorial for our grandson. I have paid the fee to remove the ads, and wonder if you would be so kind as to transfer ownership of this memorial over to me. Our family would also like to request removal of the first picture shown on the memorial so we can replace it with a different photo.
We appreciate your kindness and consideration of this request. Thank you.

Hi, ZinaQ! Thank you so much for the updates. I am so happy Heo Dawoon has been found, plus the two new people. Every person means a family finally has closure (I hope). It's wonderful that they've found and can finally go home to their families.
Thank you so much for Sponsoring the Memorial for Martin. With best regards from Austria

I'm so glad they identified Go Changseok. I hope
his family doesn't have to wait long. I also hope that they can identify all the missing so that they can go home to their families.
The Brazil memorial is basically impossible to make because they don't have the city listed. You found the burial record of one and FG wouldn't let me add it because there is no city. And I've already done a lot of research for the project.
I have at least one photo for each of the 242 victims. I wish FG would add cities by request.
Thanks for the Sewol update and for all your help. It's very much appreciated.

Thank you for the info on the people they've found. I'm glad at least Jo Eunhwa's finally come home to her family. Hopefully they find all of the missing.
I've never gotten to talk to anyone else really affected by the Sewol tragedy. My friend in Australia was affected too--we used to talk about it. It also happened at just the right point in my life to resonate, as well. So did MH17.
Not sure how to handle the guy who has the duplicate family members I've added. He's got the tombstone pictures, but only the dates that were on the stones. I wonder if he just photographed the cemetery and put it all on here, like someone did with St. Mary's down the street here.
I've kind of stalled on my Brazil nightclub fire victims. The city of Santa Maria is not listed, so the closest I can get is province. Which is bugging me b/c Santa Maria is a pretty big city. Also actually finding out birthdays and burial locations is really difficult. I do have pictures of them all that I can use. As far as I can see there's no way to get FG to add a city by request.
Thank you for the info and I hope you have a great day!

Happy mother's day Zina.
Please could you add this description to Sunnyridge Cemetery:
Civic address 218 Sunny Ridge Rd Verner, Ontario
N 46 29.154 W 080 11.174
Very steep hill, not suitable for wheelchair access or ones with poor balance when walking.
(PS. I took a flip while taking the photos)
