Bio and Links
Bio Photo I started working on geneaology with my mom a couple of years ago, and stumbled across Find A Grave while searching for info on an ancestor. I discovered that I enjoyed walking cemeteries looking for ancestors and that I also enjoyed finding other people's ancestors as well. Another "graver" told me that "we are their voices now" and that has stuck with me. I try to have correct info on all memorials but I do make mistakes; I am only human, after all. Not interested in the amount of memorials I add, unlike SO many people I have encountered on this site; just trying to give the deceased "their voice" so they can live on.
Would also like to ask that other gravers check to see if there is already a memorial for someone before adding names. LOTS of duplicates that are unnecessary and are easily avoided.

RE: Leland Ryner
Thank you -- I first don't know why I sent you the obit if it wasn't your memorial. I'm sorry for that! Second, I'm searching for the source of the obit and cannot find it. It is too bad that someone wanting that piece of information is going to keep this biographical information from the general public.
Thank you for reaching out!

You are welcome. I can't remember if this was a photo request or not. The cemetery is overgrown with briers and difficult to find the markers.

Grandparents graves
The graves that you have photographed are those of my grandparents, Margaret and Joseph Jay Milne. That whole Milne plot are my aunts and uncles. I have some of their obits and lots of pictures I would like to add. Would you transfer these pages to me?
I so appreciate your great work since I no longer live in Illinois.

RE: 111362097 - Benjamin Moore
That would be fantastic! I often wonder if she is on the back of Benjamin's stone...but it is laying on the ground - so not sure how you would look. I have not found an obit or any record...and just can't imagine her not being there with him. It would be nice to know what happened to her!

111362097 - Benjamin Moore
Thank you so much for your wonderful picture of my 4th great grandfather's tombstone. I had someone take one years ago for me but it wasn't as nice as yours.

I have never been able to find his wife Mary (Polly) B. (Cone) Moore whom was living when Benjamin died born in 1788. She is a mystery of what became of her.
