Bio and Links
Bio Photo Some notes:

1) OECONYMS: Slovenian gravestones often contain oeconyms (farm/house names, hina imena). Sometimes it isn't clear which name is the surname and which the oeconym. In some cases I've entered oeconyms as surnames when no surname is available. Corrections are appreciated. Try searching an individual Slovenian cemetery by first name instead of last name if you think a memorial may have been entered using an oeconym.

2) DIACRITICS: This site no longer searches for many special characters (č etc.); searching for them returns reconfigured names (e.g., looking for "Boič" returns only "Boi"). To find such records, try searching by truncated last names ("Bo" for "Boič"), and/or first names that don't have diacritics ("Zofija Bo" for "Zofija Boič," "Marica" for "Marica Črv"). (Select "Do partial name search on surname".) Also try scanning known cemeteries ("View all interments"), which is a good idea anyhow because of spelling variations.

Another option: enter "site:.findagrave.com" (without quotes) followed by a space and the name you are searching for into your web browser (e.g., "site:.findagrave.com boič").

3) ALPHABETIZATION: Names with diacritics don't properly alphabetize (ČABC...XYZ֊), so be sure to scan up and down lists when searching.

4) WRONG CHARACTERS: This site used to convert some letters with diacritics (e.g., č > ). I've updated my entries to fix this (please let me know if you see any I missed).

5) SISTORY links: Many of my wartime memorials include information (dates, places, relations) from the SiStory website. Any web addresses given were accurate at the time posted, but some of the ID numbers have changed over time.

Thank you for all the interesting info I've found on this website. I found a picture of my ggrandparents and would love to find out more about them. Do you know where the picture came from, any way I could contact them?
Thank you for all your help..

You added a newspaper clipping for this memorial, I'm wondering if you have it in English or do you know what it said's on it, I would like to write what it said's on it for his memorial, I guess if I had to I could search on each word for the translation if I have to, but that would take so long, can you read this writing?

Klitzke
Donald, thanks for the additional information for Bertha Klitzke. I appreciate having more to add to her rather Spartan memorial, and the suggested edits are most welcome.

Added a friend
I have added you as a friend because I have found many a marker that I can't decipher. I have done extensive adds from all cemeteries and your research will be very valuable in the future. I will send you the links when found and hope we can find something.

Thanks for pointing that out too me. Since I have no knowledge of foreign languages. I did find Winter for Anna Maria of Brookmere and Will dig for the two in Scranton Road. If in a few days I don't find a last name or Dup I will remove the entries.

His name was there, I mean I found the death but was not sure it was he, so this was a fortuitous thing you did!

thanks for the
information on the memorial for Unknown person, I went with the SD death record, looks likely, since I can't go look at the stone!
