when you took photo of Mary Peake's tombstone... by any chance was her husband, William, on the other side of the monument?
Find A Grave Memorial# 68251063
He was born about 1844-1845 and he is not in the Greenlawn listing.

That'd be great, Dee! With the information that they are buried at Shawtown Cemetery, I tracked down someone with a book of transcriptions and found the details on their stones so I'd love to be able to add it. Love the power of the volunteers!
You can transfer Cynthia J. Powers too, she's one of their daughters.
Memorial numbers: 140842011, 140861366, 140861343.
Thank you again SO very much. You have no clue how much this means to me to be able to find out their final resting place and now have a date for Mary's death.

Thank you for the memorials for Thomas and Mary Powers at Shawtown Cemetery! I have been looking for ages to try and find out when Mary died and where her and Thomas were buried. They are my 5th great grandparents.
Are you related at all?
Thank you for the wonderful photo! I truly appreciate your time and trouble. Happy Holidays!

I am also as Alspach so we are probably related.

You most certainly may use my photos in any way you would like.

Yes, it is the same stone. couldn't read the inscription- too worn.

You're very welcome. Greeenwood is a beautiful cemetery especially in the fall. Did you notice that Mr. Waterer's given name is incorrect on the memorial?
