Ida Lee Carter Echols and William Jerome "Bee" Echols had another daughter (my grandmother), Georgia Ann "Georgie" Echols (4 Jan 1888-1 Nov 1934), who married my grandfather, Bertie Eugene Patterson. They eventually left Texas and settled in San Diego, CA. Georgie died of a heart attack as they were travelling through Arizona in 1934. According to the 1900 U.S. Census, William Mangam Echols was actually born in Mar 1889. I've noticed the Echols family tended to be a little hazy on dates.

Celia Brown
Can you tell me more about Celia? I'm having trouble pinning her down. What was her maiden name and the name of her father?

Riley Moat 1870
In the 1870 census, a couple named William and Celia Brown are living with Riley Moat. Can you tell me anything about this couple? I'm also curious to know if Celia is Riley's sister? He's too young to be her father.

I also posted a picture of his wife's, Ethel, headstone. They share the same headstone with the military person, Grayson, having his information on the front side and the dependent persons on the backside of the headstones. LC

Hi, I couldn't get the picture to straighten up so I took another one and posted it yesterday. It's really driving me crazy that it happens to some and not to others. Anyway, you can see it now without having to look sideways. LC

RE: Find A Grave Memorial #734674
I haven't forgotten about straightening out the photo for the headstone. On my iPad and desktop pic the picture comes right side up. So tomorrow I'll be talking with some pc experts and try to get this fixed. Sorry for the wait.

Sorry about the sideways picture. I'll straighten it out. I don't know why but the pictures are taken straight up and sometimes a few of them, not all, will be straight on my computer but come sideways on Find A Grave.
