Bio Photo I'm the eldest daughter in my family and seem to be the one appointed to the task of recording some of the families history. I'm loving the "find a grave" website. Using it along with what little written information we had is a great help.

Miller graves at Commerce, Ok.

I noticed that you had entered two people in Findagrave as being buried at Commerce, Ok. These two people, Everett L. Miller and Mary Tressa Miller are actually buried at Grand Army Of The Republic Cemetery in North Miami, Oklahoma. I checked with that cemetery and they confirmed that was where they were buried. This cemetery is also known as G. A. R. Cemetery. You might want to move your memorials to that cemetery and request grave marker photos for them.

RE: Frances Marek Kutej
Henry Kutej is the son of Frantiska Marek Kutej and Thomas Kutej, so that makes sense because the record is for his mother.

RE: Frances Marek Kutej
I know that some of the Mareks spell the name Marak, but I know that my great grandmother, daughter of Anna Marek and Florian, always spelled it with the "E" at the end instead of the "A."

RE: Frances Marek Kutej
Well all of the family members match up to what I have in my tree, so I think you are correct... But the death certificate lists the mother as "Anna" and then has a question mark. I am thinking, and perhaps I am reaching and manipulating the facts here, that Frantiska Kutej's mother could have easily been mistaken for Anna because Frantiska is Frances in English, and the short name for Frances is "Fanny." Fanny sounds like Annie, and that explains the "Anna" with the question mark.

This is all very exciting!

Frances Marek Kutej
Hi! I am wondering if you could please write to me about #105229328, Frances Marek Kutej. I don't know how often you check your messages, and I have had a hard time getting people to answer private messages, so I thought I'd post this publicly.

My great great grandmother was Anna Marek, who married Florian Sladovnik. Anna's parents were Frantisek "Frank" Marek and Frantiska "Frances" Jansa. It is believed that her siblings were: Frantisek Frank Marek, Frantiska "Frances", Joseph, and Albina Emma.

I saw that you posted a picture associated with Frances Marek Kutej, who I think might be Frantiska in the list above. However, when I found the death certificate for Frantiska Kutej, it lists her mother as "Anna." Since you posted the photo of Frances, can you write me back with confirmation on who is who?

Hi Joyce. Just wanted to let you know that the first memorial created is the original, and subsequent ones created after that date are the duplicates.

While I appreciate your efforts to help clean up duplicates, I will not be deleting mine per your request, since I created them several years before they were duplicated.

You can request the duplicator to remove their memorial, or request edit to merge the memorials.

John Miller picture
Hi Joyce! Regarding the picture you uploaded on the page for John A Miller 16497722 - please can you download it (if necessary), delete it from the page and reload it, changing the category to "Family" rather than "Grave"? Many thanks.

Sorry - Request for transfer is denied at this time

Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
