I have had a lifelong love of family history and cemeteries. I routinely review old newspapers for obituaries and do my best to place a copy on Findagrave. It gives me a sense of accomplishment, whether I've created a record, or uploaded an obituary or photograph.|
Each one of us who has this passion, is making a print on history. We are "preserving the past for the future". Family researchers who haven't been born yet, will silently thank us for our contributions.
To all my fellow contributors....YOU ROCK!!! :)
The surnames I research are: Atterbury (various spellings), Baber, Buster, Collins, Dawdy, Ford, Hollings, Kipper(s), Maxey, Meason, McGlothlen, Nickell, Nise, and Taylor.
Please visit my daughter's page. Her name is Jessica Stinson and she was my only child. Her Dad, Greg, died of pneumonia 4 months after she did. He knew he was sick, but I think he was so despondent after losing Jessica, he lost his will to live.
Every single one of the flowers or words you leave on Jessica's memorial touches my heart. And, yes, every one makes me cry.
Thank you all!

Vicki, yes, it is apparently procedure to order the headstone marker because they offered immediately to place a work order and informed me there was no charge. It took nearly half and hour and no less than five employees to determine what the situation was, I was impressed with their determination to locate the grave, especially since I had a list of almost 200 names to look through. I will keep you posted. :)

Hello, Vicki, I hope you are well. I tried to fulfill your request to photograph Agnes' headstone but the number that was posted was incorrect. It is plot 210-A not 21-A. It was discovered that there was no headstone on that plot though, so I ordered a replacement. It is free and not marble, or anything but I will revisit for pictures when they get in touch with me.

Like you I have always found cemetaries fascinating. While visiting loved ones I would wander around and wonder who each person was in life and what happened to them. Where I grew up we had a very old cemetary that sadly had so many children buried there. I would wonder what happened to them, were their descendants still living in the area? I wanted to know who these people were & especially is I didn't see the parents of these children buried there. I wondered how a parent could leave the area where they buried a child(ren). I am so sorry for the loss of your only child and husband so close to one another especially. I hope time closes your wounds and knowing you will be with your husband and daughter one day. May God bless you and keep you always.

Thanks so much for the kind words. I like to recognize the people who offer information.
(Also, sometimes people question my source, and I can't remember, unless it's listed on the memorial.)
Always so appreciate your input.

Vicki, Thank you for your kind words. We know how difficult it is to find our ancestors and so want to provide as many clues as we can. Let me know if there is anything else I might be able to help with.
Thanks so much for the info! It has been added.
