Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hi! I came here in the course of digging into the family genealogy for/with my mom, aunt and new-found cousin. I'm tracing on my mother's side: Allens, Townsends, Jordans, Owens, Whites, Nichols, Hofstetlers, Pearces, Wahls, Foresters, Barkers, Adares and whatever else pops up, for right now! On Dad's side its Gonzalez and whatever else comes up as well.

Currently working on Adares and Jordans!

If I've got one of your folks and need a transfer, let me know!

All my headstone/cemetery photos: I in good faith hear by grant the use of said photos to be used for historical and genealogical use, as long as credit is given.

RE: M. E. Adare
Hello and so nice to meet you!

Yes, as I recall, ggrandfather's grave was next to ggrandmother's.

It would be lovely if you would transfer this memorial to me! Thank you!
Sending warmest wishes...

I noticed you posted a picture of Billy on Find a Grave. I hope you are a close relative and know if he ever married. I don't find any researcher that has that info. Thanks, Janis Webb Babb

George W Forester # 116321305
Hi Tereza,
Thank you for the info on George W Forester. There are, however, several coorections I'd like to suggest making. His father was George Washington Forester, Sr (only one "r") my ggrandfathers were his brothers and they were Forester with only one "r". He died on Jan 10 according to both his headstone and his death certificate. The death certificate was completed on Jan 15 which could have led to the confusion.

One other......Henry Clay Forester of Medina Co was NOT a brother. (There were many Henry Clays in the Forester families but George W and Annie Virginia Jordan did not have one. This is verified by all the census data and by his obit which was in the Luling Signal 17 Jan 1974.

Thank you in advance for making these corrections. They are errors which are very common due to the fact that there are so many George W Foresters and Henry Clay Foresters!

RE: your photos
Thank you for your kind words.

It's been a while since I took these photos, so I cant' say with certainty that there was no Thomas Jefferson Watts nearby, but if he was in any of the adjacent graves and there was a marker, I probably would have noticed and included it in the group photo.

I think this memorial may have been created in error. The dates of birth and death for the Thomas Jefferson in this memorial and the one for Andrew Jospeph Watts are the same, and match the death certificate for Andrew. There is no Thomas Jefferson Watts listed on the Austin Genealogical Society's transcription of Oakwood Cemetery, nor on the Austin History Center website. You might want to contact the creator of the memorial and see where she got her information.

Let me know if you find out that T. J. Watts is actually buried in Oakwood (no transcription is perfect) and I'll be happy to go out there and look again, but I really think this may be an error. Good luck.

If you want to buy one, I will let her know, and she can get in touch with you.
