Francis Brewster
I suggest you check on longislandgenealogy.com for some Brewster information. There has been much debate about the descent from Elder William, but it doesn't appear to be true. I am also a descendant of Francis and Nathaniel.

Hiram Newcomb
Raymond, If you are related to Hiram Ward Newcomb, then you are a relative of mine. Hiram was my 3rd great grandfather. Also, you may want to look up the history of Andrew Newcomb (1648-1708) who lived in Edgartown, Martha's Vineyard, Mass. He is one of Hiram's ancestors and his history is very interesting.

Hi Tony
I've had previous contact with you a few yrs back. You are related to the Bitter Creek Newcomb's, right? I've never found a relationship there to my Newcomb's. Just wondered if you had found a connection to this James Andrew Smith's wife, Gertie who is related to me, being my gr grandfather's sister. Thanks Faye

Thanks! That would be a great addition to the memorial if the seller lets you use the image.

Alexander Newcombe
Hi,

I went to the cemetery office (i.e. Tisbury Parks & Rec. Dept.) and they don't have a record of Alexander Newcombe, the father, being buried there. They do have a record of one or two of the babies by that name being born there. Perhaps Alexander is at one of the other cemeteries? Tisbury P & R only handles Oak Grove and a smallcemetery on West Chop. You might check with the Tisbury Town Hall about the others.

Newcombs in Oklahoma City
Tony,
I saw your request for James & Iris Newcomb in OKC. I found some obits and used The Oklahoman's (newspaper) email system to send them to you.

Happy reading,
Kim

Photo's
Thank you for all the hard work you do on taking photos. a hint. If you find as in Cyrena Abigail Tuttle taken in 2009, that they are a hard read. Have a bottle of plain distilled water on hand... If you pour a small amount over the lettering before taking the photo the sun will enhance the writing for you...
Thanks again, another volunteer.
