In the spring of 2010, I became interested in finding out more about my father's family. My g-g-g-g grandfather, John P Lyle, settled in Paulding Co, Georgia, sometime before 1840. It is thought that he received land in the 1832 land lottery of the Cherokee lands. After working on the memorials of my immediate LYLE family members, I started looking for the graves of my mother's family and then extended family. I spend the majority of my time looking for graves in Paulding County and the counties that surround Paulding, such as Haralson, Polk, Bartow, Carroll, Douglas, Cobb and Cherokee. This is a very rewarding way to fill in some of those extra hours I now have as a retired person. |
Finally, I want to acknowledge and give credit to my brother, Thomas Edward 'CC' Lyle, and to my 1st cousin once removed, Dianne Jean Eberhardt, for allowing me to use their genealogy research information in several of my FAG memorials.

Sandy, I just saw your message about the memorial on my Mom, That was fantastic. Want to think you for the time you took. I saw were you had done the burials on my Family but just thought you did it along with the one you were doing on your Mom since they passed at almost the same time. Hope you are doing well, Know you are enjoying Trump as well as I but these Liberals are going to be a big problem

You are welcome for the info and photos. I saw Gertrude Rowlenson's name (1884-___) on the monument, but I couldn't find an obit or death date for her, and I couldn't prove she was actually buried there or not.
If you get info from the cemetery confirming her burial there, you could create a page for her and I could add the photos. Just let me know.

Buried in City Cemetery
Thanks for tutorial on adding memorial w/o knowledge of cemetery. I have tried that in the past but I kept going around in circles. I will try again doing Edwin Theodore's wife (my namesake)
I'm so excited to see my great-grandpa on Findagrave.

How were you able to add their mother w/o knowing her burial location? They had a brother Edwin Theodore who was my great-grandfather. I know where and when he died, I just can't locate him in a cemetery. I would like to add him and my great grandmother to FindAGrave but it won't let me past putting in a cemetery. Any ideas?

Ida had a sister buried in the same cemetery...
