Just a note on the interments and photos. |
Some are family, some are friends and MANY others are people that I did not know. If you find any errors or want to add information to the person, please let me know.
Denver, Colorado is where I was born and raised. My grandmother worked on genealogy which rubbed onto me at a young age. Have been working on genealogy for almost 60 years.
Hope that the unrelated entries have aided you in finding YOUR family! My PRIMARY INTENT was to post the information from records other have complied.
Please note, many are put up from cemetery records...as is.
I'm aware that there are many errors in these records, but I rarely make assumptions as to proper spelling, etc. with the exception of death month which is often based on interment date. Generally speaking, I do not research each memorial.
I enjoy just driving into a cemetery and reading the headstones and wondering about the history of the person.
I would be willing to take or retake a 'Close Up' photos of headstones in the cemeteries around Metro Denver.
At the present time many volunteers are working on Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado. It might be a life long job but enjoying the challenge.
WE WILLINGLY MAKE TRANSFERS WITHIN THE 4 GENERATION "FIND A GRAVE" GUIDELINES WHICH ARE:
Spouses, Parents, Brothers and Sisters, Children, Grand-children, Grandparents, and Great-grandparents. Please use the "EDIT" tab to ask for EACH transfer. PLEASE STATE YOUR RELATIONSHIP TO THE DECEASED.
Our thanks to all of you who have sent additional information for the memorials.
If you 'find' one of your family member that has a photo of the headstone, please know that you are free to USE the photos. I take pictures of headstones out of kindness ...not for my ego or for the "numbers."

Thank you! See my profile for my e-mail if you want to send messages directly.
I have added about 100 new memorials to Olive Branch. Any you want transferred so you can add information, I will happily do so.
Thanks for the great teamwork!

It is the Madonna Mausoleum at Mt Olivet. He is buried at Fort Logan but he also shows with his wife at Mt. Olivet.

Hi S. McCoskey,
A return thanks now comes your way. Thank you for all the time and effort you give to create memorials. Your work so helps many people. I just do the fun part and take pictures, which I enjoy.
I think I know the books you use. I have purchased several of them myself from the Stevens Museum in Salem. They are a great resource. I do not believe they publish updates, but I may be wrong about that.
I also realize the info on the stones may have errors, which others may be able to correct.
Thanks again for all your work. I will be posting more pictures soon, since I took 300 more last Saturday.

Cheers!! You transferred Ernest Stolns to me some time ago, He is my G Uncle. He has a military gravestone at Ft Logan and I cannot not find where his wife is buried. Belle passed a few years after and did not remarry. Usually they have the wives names on the back of a Military gravestone, I am thinking this is the case here. Ernest# 15512399 Is their anyway on your end you can find out for me. He is on records with her up until the time of his death. She later left Denver and moved to Morrison, Colorado. If I was still coming to Colorado every year I could find out but I do not do much traveling anymore. You can contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Belle could have been a nick name and Freida her real name. They used to come and visit with my Mom and Dad a lot as they all lived in Colorado. My Mom called her Freida.
