I am an avid searcher. I have enjoyed many walks through cemeteries with my camera in hand. Now I need oxygen 24/7 which makes travel a little more difficult. I do take binoculars with me to cemeteries that I visit. I am so thankful for my husband who assists me whenever I travel. He makes cemetery visits possible for me.|
Please do not add Death Certificates to the memorials I have placed on Find A Grave. Yes you are within your rights to place a death certificate on a page. I, personally, feel like it is the same as having it posted in the funeral home at the time of a person's death. It just takes away from the reason I created the memorial page. Find A Grave began as a way of connected families together and honoring them by visiting and placing flowers on their graves via internet. This website is to honor those who have left us. It was not created as a place to add all information about a person that we place in our family tree. When we begin to add US Census information, death certificates, etc., we begin to loose sight of the purpose of Find A Grave. Thank you in advance.
"The copyright of all photos posted to Find A Grave remains with the original submitter. No use of photos for any other website or personal use is permitted without the prior consent of the original submitter." Find A Grave
I have placed these memorials on Find A Grave so that we would be able to visit their graves to pay our respects. I do not leave my house much any more and this website has given me the opportunity to travel many places and place flowers on their graves. I hope future generations will smile when they find the family member they are searching for and be pleased.
It is disheartening to know that, when I die, someone can take over my work and change everything that I have done to honor my family and those surrounding them in their places of burial unless I designate someone to care for their Memorial Pages.
When you find errors, please e-mail me. I will do my best to correct them.

I noticed that you left a note for Janet and her husband. If you are a relative, would you like to have them transferred to you? If so, just request it.
|Bob Sherwood||RE: Viney Meeks Throneberry|
I added her to the cemetery, but I do not have any information on her. The cemetery book says she was a Meeks. I would assume she was John Edward Throneberry's second wife, but I did not link her because I did not know when they were married. If you know when they were married and would link them it would keep them in the right order.

You are most welcome. I am in the process of building the trunk of my family tree, starting with my dad. I have now worked back several generations of my family name. If I can help you with the Farris name please just let me know. When I am researching I always check both the Guinn and Farris name.

How are we Kin? What person links our family on the Fariss side. I have found the name spelled several different ways, even among siblings. For example; my grandmother and her brother spelled it Farris, however her sister's spelled the name "Fariss".I am the genealogy researcher on the Guinn side. I have a facebook Guinn Family page. I also have information about our Fariss side of the family if you want to share.

Do you think he is buried with his Dad or his wife
Most men are buried with their wives not their dads

You are very welcome. I am grateful to people who have taken photos of my relative's markers, so trying to pass along the same favor for someone else is the least I can do. Take care!

Dear C J Swann
I am new at researching family ancestry, I belong to find a grave and I saw where you wrote to Abby Brock-Lane about John T Leach 1817-1900 and HIs wife Rebecca Reavis Leach 1819-1907. ( My GG Grandfather and GG Grandmother ) She says that they are buried at Turkey Creek Cemetery. You asked her how she new they were buried there. I also saw where you also posted sever other persons in my Leach family in Turkey Creek. I was wondering if you got a answer from Abby Brock-Lane of how she know for sure that my GG Grandfather and GG Grandmother were for sure buried in Turkey Creek. You are welcome to view my tree ( Jack W Leach family tree ). Any help that you could be would be apprecated. Thank you for what you do.
Jack W Leach
