Bio and Links
Bio Photo There seems to be a FLAW in the way the new edits are being done, spouses are coming up in bright RED UNKNOWN, when in FACT it is RIGHT, I have had this happen when I send edits also, hopefully this can be fixed. I have been saving the spouse # and re-adding it after the edit is done.

PLEASE use the EDIT to ask for transfers, with your ID # and the PHOTO REQUEST if you want a photo of the stone for EACH person listed. I try to get other family near the one requested in case they are not already listed, but if they are already listed it is nice if you also request them. I print off the requests from the computer, and the "notes" don't show if you ask for other family members. If there are a lot of requests only the ones listed might be taken when it's a quick stop. You have my permission to use my photos of the stones for your family records.

It is my wish that everyone is remembered, this is my way of helping make it happen. We all will make mistakes, I'm happy to make changes and transfer loved ones always hoping that you can add to their memorials. I just want to help, when I find more information and send an edit, it is sad when that isn't added. I am so thankful for the ones that put family of ours on, some we had no idea where were, so you can see what a blessing Find A Grave has been.

I know it's important to have "facts", some think an official document such as birth, marriage or death certificate is correct. Sadly that is NOT always correct. There will always be conflicting information. Don't get upset when there is an error, just do your best to try to have it corrected, when there is another source, add the information in a note for one or the other. Try to always be nice, this site is great to help find our roots and follow all the branches. :) Genealogy = Confusing the dead and annoying the living.-by Unknown Author. I'm sure I "annoy" quite a few. I use ~ to mean not just now, but always~

Holmes' Graves
Thank you for transferring Donald Kirkland's memorial to me!

I swung by Forest Hill Cemetery today and found the two Holmes' graves you had requested photos for, and discovered that Aylwin Holmes is also buried in that cemetery, not Union Cemetery, so I'll request the owner of his memorial update accordingly.

Have a great day and upcoming Memorial Day weekend!

Are you related to G.W. Baker? If so I would like to communicate with you as he was my husband's great grandfather's brother, William G. Baker of MO. Thank you - Mary Ann cematapey@aol.com

Thanks
What I was looking for was an obituary on John Dissette who died in Nemaha county, Kansas in 1892.

Always try to add to veterans memorials.

Thanks for all you have done.

RE: Thomas and Bridget Farrell
Sorry just saw this. R. Jorgensen is buried at St. Mary's cemetery in Dawson. I believe his parents were from out in western Nebraska, but that is all I know!

Sorry for such a delayed response.

Morton Family
Hi Luella,

My cousin Marcie and I wanted to reach out to you and inquire if you are a descendant of Joseph Bradford Morton? Joseph is my 6th Great Uncle and Marcie's 5th. His sister Jane Morton Grabeel is our Grandmother. We were wondering if you had information about their lineage or father Jesse other than what we have discovered.

Warm Regards,
Jennifer

Ida (Sinner) Durkop
Well, you peaked my curiosity enough to make me put my research hat on. Do you belong to Ancestry?

According to several censuses, 1900, 1910, etc., the family name was Sinner. I did not see any mention of Astleford at all.

Someone did have a family tree on them and added "Siemer" to the mix!!!

Oh, my. Don't you wish any of them were still alive so we could ask? Like you say, maybe family will come up with answers. Thanks ~ Jo

Sarah Ann Mahan Butler
Her oldest daughter was Mary Jane Butler Raper who was married to William Brown Raper. Both are buried in the Pawnee City Cemetery. Mary Jane died in 1864 (3rd person buried at that cemetery). She had 2 surviving children Fanny and John B. (Both also buried at that cemetery) I am Fanny's great grandson. She survived long enough to hold me as an infant.
