Bio and Links
Bio Photo I enjoy doing genealogy research for myself and others. I love taking photographs and looking at old photographs. I collect old postcards of royalty, children, and famous people. I live in Xenia, Greene County, OH. My local library has a genealogy room that has newspaper obits on people who have died in Greene County. So if you need an obit on one of your Greene County, OH relatives--then let me know. I will copy it and email it to you. I can also take photos at the follwoing cemeteries in Xenia: Woodland, St. Bridget's, and Cherry Grove. My relatives are originally from Bedford County, Pa (my mom's side) and from Youngstown, OH (my dad's side).

Thank you for requesting transference of responsibility for your family. Hope my facilitating genealogical data and images has been beneficial to your family. Pardoning is begged for any interpreted resistance.

Paul Dietrich
Adolph "Jack" Reisman # 98276715
I do not read or speak Yiddish; however, I do know that the date of death of this person is not correct in your translation. Perhaps the person had incorrect information about his date of death, but he died on 15 August 1944 while landing on LCI 590 in Southern France. They hit a mine and it killed 4 men in the 30th Inf. Reg., 3rd Inf. Div. Their names were: Mearle E. Fletcher, Adolph J. Reisman, Joseph Mochaux, and Paul B. Loheide. Loheide and Fletcher are buried at Rhone American Cemetery in Draguigan, France. I thought you might want to correct the error. Thank you. Paul Dietrich # 47359622,

Thomas Gowdy
please put in his bio. From Woodland facebook page

Thomas Morris GOWDY, 1849-1884
He was a cousin to the Gowdy family previously discussed on this page, and was born and grew up in Xenia. He graduated from Xenia College in 1872. After that, he went to Council Bluffs, Iowa, where he was in the land business with his brother-in-law, Col. Lysander Tulley. He had been in poor health, and decided to go with a friend to the mountains in the West, just to get away from office work. The train stopped so the passengers could take a lunch break, but unexpectedly started up again; Gowdy tried to board the car, but due to his weak condition lost his hold and met his death. You can see the "Dear Tom" inscription under the dates of his birth and death.
