Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been researching some of the 36,000 + Army Air Forces personnel who died in the line of duty, of non-combat causes during the World War II era in service-related accidents. It is said that more
than 15,500 Army airmen were killed in airplane accidents between 1941 and 1946, within the borders of the U.S. and it's territories. They gave their all and died in the service of their country, but received no purple hearts and virtually no mention in the history books and have largely been forgotten by time.

For corrections, additions, or requests for transfer of memorial, please use the Edit tab, and select Suggest a Correction or Provide Additional Information to make any update requests. It is much easier to handle the issue this way, rather than a personal message.

I am happy to update any memorial, including family links. But I DO NOT like adding census information, copies of death certificates and please do not add long obituaries to the "photo" area. The information can be condensed and pasted into the bio area. If you don't have the time to type out the obituary, just email it to me. I will add it and give you credit for finding it.
I appreciate any information that can "round out" someone's bio.

John Tillman - Milbank
Hello --

Would you please remove your photos from #154321971 for John Tillman (1878-1961). There are three John Tillman/Tilleman in this cemetery and the grave photos you added are for the John Tillman (1850-1921) #173094532.

Thank you!

Thank you sincerely
Thank you for adding the memorial for our uncle, Michael T. Murray, DNB in New Mexico in December 1944. I have been to the cemetery in Minnesota, and we will be returning to visit, but we really appreciate having this virtual memorial. And thank you for taking on this huge project involving losses due to service-related accidents - we are very grateful.

Ted L Beam (Theodore Lester)
Hello Mr Cook,
was doing some geniology and came across information on the death of my father,Ted Beam.
He was killed in a KC-135 in Perryville Arizona in 1982.
thank you for including dads info on this site but I wanted to clarify his age at the time of death. Dad was 48 years old and Truman Young was 40. everything else looks pretty accurate.
thanks so much, again!!

RE: SGT James R. York
Thank You so Much for placing him in the cemetery and for the additional information, I wasn't sure he was still serving. His older brother was KIA serving in Europe the following year, those poor parents.

Best Regards, Dianna
