My eleven-year old son likes to take photos of headstones, and he thinks that, somehow, we can capture the missing 5,000 photos in Greenlawn, Spartanburg. I mostly enjoy the fact that he wants to spend time with his father.|
I'm happy to help with any information or photos. I'm even happier to transfer memorials if someone is more closely related to you than me.
Please feel free to use my photos. We are all doing this to help each other.

|Tricia||Boyce Mendenhall - I count four!|
I discovered the answer to yesterday's question just a few moments ago by reading your explanation written12-29-2012.
Have so enjoyed studying all the wonderful pictures and documents you have shared. The Mendenhalls are a fascinating family of which I am proud to belong.
Your far-flung relative,

|Tricia||Boyce Rutledge Mendenhall|
Good morning Boyce,
Recently, I discovered the identities of the three other men, who are in a photograph with my great-grandfather, Dr. James Nettles Mendenhall. They are his brothers! According to my notes, Boyce is the youngest son of James Kirk Mendenhall and Hester Elizabeth Nettles Mendenhall. I isolated his image and added it to his Find A Grave memorial. Do you have any more information about him besides you are seemingly his namesake?

|Jonathan Reeves||Crimminger family|
Hi,Saw that you said you are descended from Robert and Mary Jane Crimminger. If you have done any research on this family, would love to correspond with you. This family is a fascinating bunch. Multiple revolutionary war soldiers and a boy who was kidnapped from England and later moved to Tennessee after his wife died and the family lost track of him. You may have heard some of the stories before. I've got some of the family info online here: http://reeveshome.org/genealogy/page.php?id=crimminger
|Caroline Brown Williams||Charles T. Brown|
Thanks for taking pix of tombstones in Blackswamp Methodist Cemetery.
From your picture I see that my Dad's great Uncle,Charles Tennent Brown 's Death date was transcribed slightly wrong -- 16 Sept 1913 instead of 06 Sept 1913. He was named for his Grandfather and his Parents were William Stevens Brown and Elizabeth Singleton Smith.
|Hazel Mote Carpenter||Featherstone Walden|
Featherstone is my great great grandfather. I would love to see any research you have on our family... My line is Lucy Helen Walden, Moses Walden, Featherstone Walden.
|K Sanchez||RE: Update made|
I am glad to be helpful. ;-)
At least now I know my information still seems to be accurate.
I have temporarily allowed my email address to be displayed on my profile. If you want to email me there, I will send you what information I have.
|K Sanchez||James Benjamin Thomson|
This gentleman was brother to my 4x great grandfather. I am curious why you have him listed with the first name of James. His father was James. But even in his will, he lists his name as Benjamin Thomson Sr. (He also had a son named Benjamin). According to the research that has been shared with me, his father had an older son named James Benjamin Thomson from his first wife.
Just thought I would ask in case you had more information that I have located.
Kim Thomson Sanchez
|Nancy W||RE: Lawton Smith photo|
You are welcome. It was a little tricky since the marker was inside the mausoleum but it turned out fairly well considering the situation. I had never seen a marker in Roman numerals before!
