JoAnn, thanks. If you would be willing to contact me at my private email NYladuke@charter.net, I would like to put a bug in your ear, so to speak, about people/families who I think may be buried in the Catholic Cemetery. Thank you, Sharon

That is beautiful to see, JoAnn. It breaks my heart to see any of them unmarked. You show so much generosity and thoughtfulness in what you do. Thank you so much for your friendship and your help. What you've done means a great deal to me. If I could ever get up that way, I would love to meet you there.

John Fillmore Battle memorial#166059657
Are you perhaps related to John or in contact with any of his relatives? I ask because I am distantly related to him via his grandfather Millard Fillmore Findley (memorial #76665869). If possible, I would like to contact any of his relatives you might be in contact with or know of. I know of someone who has an early photo of his grandfather who would like to see it returned to the family.

Any assistance or info you might be able to share will be most appreciated.

RE: Information about Christine Currie
Thanks for your help. I really appreciate it. My husband's family are from Screven County. He hasn't found any connection between his Hagan's and the Hagans. He said if you found a connection he would be very interested to know. Yes, I was surprised when I saw your name and it was so close too mine. Thanks, again! Jo Ann Hagan

Information about Christine Currie
I am Christine Currie's daughter. She is buried at O'Quinn Baptist Church. I understand you put the information on findagrave about her. Thank you for doing this. Her birthdate is incorrect. It should be 1923. I would like to be the one to manage her information. How do I go about that? Thanks, Jo Ann Currie Hagan

RE: Dixon
Hi JoAnn,

My Dixon Family came from Northern Ireland, in 1736. (John Dickson (Dixon) b.1704.

His Son Michael Dickson of Kenansville N.C. b. 1731, in Northern Ireland.

His Son Robert Dickson, b.c.1750, probably in Duplin County N.C.

His Son Allen Jones Dixon b. 1782, Effingham County, Ga.

His son Nathaniel Dickson, b. 1808, Bulloch County, Ga.

His Son William Franklin Dickson b. 1846 in Ware County, Ga. (Section is Now Pierce County)

His son Emmett Lauson Dixon b. 1882 Pierce County, Georgia. (First to change the spelling to Dixon)

His son (My Father) Omer Dixon b. 1911 Pierce County, Georgia,

If I were to make a suggestion, it would be to check out the family of John & Senia Smith Dixon, buried at Lake Chapel Primitive Baptist Church, Metter, Candler County, Georgia. John was a brother of my ancestor Nathaniel Dickson above.

Sorry I cannot be of more help. I wish you the best of luck, and let me know if I may be of help
