Bio

I have been doing family genealogy for many years now. When I started using Find-A-Grave there wasn't much information but over the last few years it has increased significantly. It was however much more friendly and much more considerate -
As most of you know, those that have done this for very long, Genealogy is not an exact science and one wrong person, can change a whole line. That is why when finding contrary information, I only make suggestions, and like to discuss what I have as proof. Believe me, I don't want false information out there. Some managers have been transferring memorials to me, after I have given them some information. This is fine, I really don't mind, but I do like to keep my memorials to a minimum, especially shirt tale relative, even though I have done the research on them for my tree. This allows me to continue to do research and upgrade my memorials as necessary. Also, if you have a correction, PLEASE GIVE ME A LITTLE BACKGROUND and please BE CONSIDERATE! If you are closer family, do consider a transfer. I would prefer that close relatives, who are really interested in doing the research and usually have more information, have their loved ones.
I do appreciate those that volunteered and have posted the memorials to start with, with out so many of you we wouldn't be able to find loved ones. However, if all you have is a name and date or are tired of keeping up the memorial, please consider a transfer to closer family, if ask. I do!
I do still travel back to the Phillips County, KS. area every couple of years and have contacts back there. If someone needs a picture, I can't promise, but can try.
I did find a couple of lost families and some children graves, a family didn't know about. The families were thrilled and added them. That is what it is all about people. Helping families be reunited. Not hoarding or trying to gobble up whole families by requesting transfers, to the dismay of a lot of closer related family. Just because somewhere in your families history, had the same last name as one of yours, doesn't mean you know more, even if have done some research, or have the right their memorial. (enough preaching)

If you have family in Belmont Cemetery in Phillips County, Kansas, between Glade and Logan. Please consider a transfer of those I have added. Some are shirt tale relatives of my husband. However, there are many that are not, so either way, consider letting me transfer these to you. I know for sure that family history kept very good track of bloodlines, for a very good reason :)

My mother used to laugh and tell me she had to completely get out of the mid west not to date some sort of relative.:)
