|Most of my ancestors were early settlers of Kentucky who migrated from Virginia and Maryland. |
Direct line surnames on my father's side include Holsclaw, Snawder, Harshfield, McDaniel, Buckman, Jones, Paulley, and Collins. My father's ancestors settled in Nelson, Bullitt, and Hardin Counties. Some family members later moved to Jefferson County.
Direct line surnames on my mother's side include Dennis, Taylor, Logsdon, Haycraft, Atterberry, Elliott, Wells, Richardson, Saltsman, and Craddock. My mother's ancestors settled in Grayson, Hart, Larue, and Hardin Counties. Some family members later moved to Jefferson County. A few wayward family members crossed the river and settled in Floyd and Harrison Counties in Indiana.
I also like to take time to pay respect and honor all veterans when I visit cemeteries in my area.

|Alicelth||Acme Cemetery picture|
You had taken the one picture that is on Find a Grave for Acme Cemetery in Jackson County, IN. There's a building in the picture. Could you tell me if that is a church, and if so, what is the name of the church? My great-grandfather is buried in the cemetery and I don't know whom to speak to about burials at Acme. Thank you!

For Alfred Trunnell. His birth is July 24,not Feb. 24.Kentucky Birth records in Ancestry.com have an image of the birth records and also shows July 24. Can you correct please? Alfred's father,Henry was my mother's granduncle. My mother's grandfather was Henry's brother,Josiah. My mother will be 94 this year! Phyllis Couch

I am writing a two-volume book on the 8th Indiana. I would like to include photos of the soldiers and their headstones with their biographies. I would like to use some of your photos in the book and will give you credit in the caption for each photo. If you are interested, I can let you know when the book is published. If it is ok to use your photos, could you also give me your first and last name for the captions?

Daniel Keith was kin to my Floyd County, Virginia cousins. Two people besides you have entered him in findagrave. One has him in Grandview Cemetery with a photo of Kasey Cemetery. Does this cemetery have two names?
|Janelle ||seeking permission|
Hello. I am seeking permission to reprint your photo of the Elder grave marker at memorial #28090988, to illustrate an article about Sgt. J. Elder in the research journal of the Fresno County Genealogical Society. Thanks in advance for your consideration, and thanks also for your contributions to Find A Grave.

You posted a picture of the Wright Cemetery in the Washington Co., IN area. If you live in that area, please contact me. Someone [not you :^) ] posted a headstone to http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=18070015 and I have a question about the cemetery. Thanks.

|James Richards||Pvt Henry Ament|
I would like to suggest the following be added to his biography (I tried to send this through the edit function but I keep getting an error):
"In his wife's (Belle Richardson Ament) petition for a pension after his death (visible on FamilySearch.org), she wrote that he was born near Howe Valley, Hardin County, Kentucky and they were married in Breckenridge County. She also wrote that he joined the Confederate Army in October 1864 and served in Captain Press Williams' Company and in Chenoweth's Cavalry Regiment until the end of the Civil War. He, with his unit, returned to Elizabethown and surrendered there on May 8, 1865."
