Bio Photo "When you remember me, it means that you have carried something of who I am with you, that I have left some mark of who I am in who you are. It means that even after I die, you can still see my face and hear my voice and speak to me in your heart." Fredrick Beekner

Hello,

Thank you in advance for the many updates and links that I receive almost daily for my memorials. I strive to keep up with them.

Before accepting information in edits now, there is a great effort made to confirm the information you send. One edit sent to me, may take 4 to 6 hours of my time searching on ancestry and other genealogy sites to complete. I gather the records for said edit, gain knowledge of the family, contact other contributors to link family members that I am able to find, so that the entire family can be linked on any given memorial.

Please make sure your information is accurate, so that I can accept it. There are a lot of people being linked to those they do not belong to due to so many "same names". It is an easy mistake, I know, as it has happened to me in the past. When possible, follow your loved one from birth to death, check your dates and locations lived to make sure it is the correct memorial.

Know that I appreciate your time and effort. Please, be respectful of my time and effort. If I have made an error, sign in to Find A Grave, and send me an edit. If you have documentation of your information, include that as well.

Find a Grave is kept up by a United community of genealogists, historians, (beginners and experts) all of which of course, are VOLUNTEERS. We do not get paid for what we do here.

Creating memorials and fulfilling photo requests is a labor of love for me. If you appreciate something I've added, please pay it forward! If you receive "freely", give "freely"

When making CORRECTIONS & TRANSFERS
Please click the "Edit" tab on the individual memorial, then the "Suggest A Correction" link on the specific memorial you would like me to update or transfer. ***PLEASE DO NOT SEND CORRECTIONS AS PUBLIC MESSAGES***
Transfer requests should be requested on the "edit" tab. Include your relationship, and your contributor name and number.

Keep in mind, those of us who list the memorials are only human, sometimes we make mistakes, let us know, and Never forget: We Are Volunteers. VOLUNTEERS. Our time and work are given freely.

The quote of Fredrick Beekner is borrowed from my cousin Mike Perkins memorial.

I am of the belief that "no one is truly gone, until they are forgotten." Phyllis Behrendt 2008

So with all this said, I will continue to visit cemeteries and take photos of graves, and hope someday to find more of my family, and maybe some of yours. Until then I will remain.... Calmly Searching..........

Duplicate Records
I have sent a copy of this message to snyder_nepa (#46994719) also.

There are two Find A Grave records for George Reed Snyder and his wife, Kathryn Wenk Snyder. His record is for ID# 37147552 for the cemetery marker in Mechanicsburg Cemetery in Pennsylvania. However, the marker does not have a death date.

Your record is for ID# 120556127 for the cemetery marker in Meadowlawn Memorial Gardens in Florida which does show death date.

Both records also have links to records for his wife, Kathryn Wenk Snyder in each cemetery.

I believe the Snyders had plots at the Mechanicsburg Cemetery in Pennsylvania, but ended up being buried in Florida since the Pennsylvania markers do not show a death date. I am searching for death certificates to confirm actual burial.

Perhaps the two of you want to correspond to confirm data, parental links, and delete the incorrect one.

Thank you,

Laura Salisbury Witter

RE: Jeanie G. Weston
Hello, Sorry for the delay. I have a great aunt that married Ray Willis . His mother was America Josephine Weston, daughter of James and Emmaline "Elty" Watkins Weston. America married David Willis. Jesse Hugo is her brother.
I researched the Weston family because I had heard that they had a great history. They did!
James Weston, 1823 IN, married Emmaline, 1830 GA, in 1846 Arkansas. James was a blacksmith and the family were true travelers and pioneers. Their children, Ellen, 1849 Ark., married Thadeus Barcafer. Died 1929 TX but both are buried in MO.; American was born 1859 in Marion county, Ore., died 1903 Mancos, CO; LeRoy "Ray" Weston, 1861 CA, married Mary Ann Baker 1889 LaPlata, CO, died 1927 Telluride, CO, buried in Mancos, CO.; Minnie, born 1865 ID, married unknown Reid 1880 - 1885. She died 1885 Mancos, CO; Jesse Hugo, 1868 Wyo., married Jeanie Ptolemy.
Where the children were born is evidence of the family travels. How brave they were to travel the unknown from 1846 - 1868. James wife Emmaline must have been an incredible woman. This research was just for fun. Glad I was able to help you. Pat

RE: Birchal Baker
Phyllis, we, my husband and I, are very thankful for all that you do. You are so caring, not only to the family but other families as well by putting these memorials together for everyone to see. We, like you, but to a lesser extent are also very diligent in our family research and want everyone to know how important our relatives are.

By following the Find A Grave rules I know you have been very reluctant in the memorials that you have transfer to us. I am not sure how Goldie is related to you but I am sure she is not your mother, grandmother, or great grandmother like she is to me. Because you have made such a wonderful memorial for her, this is what is important and what we all care about most. We will not pursue the transfer of Goldie and only wish you understand our caring of our direct family, as you do. We are not into the numbers game. We are only trying to put together the nicest family memorials as we can.

I do hope you understand and I very much would like us to communicate through email for the sharing of family pictures and information if you agree. My email address is nanahennings@gmail.com

Again we are so thankful for the transfers.
Sincerely Debbie Hennings

Duplicate profiles
William Kent Nielson # 175016704
and William Kent Nielson #175190728 appear to be the same profile.

There is a photo request for this grave site and therefore, I discovered the duplication.

Thanks for all you do.

Jeanie G. Ptolemy Weston
Jeanie was married to Jessie Hugo Weston, he is uncle to Ray David Willis. I am related to Ray's wife, Rosa, who was my mother's maternal aunt. I do not have a very close connection.

Jeanie G. Weston
Hello, I wondered who told you that Jeanie was a Dower? She is the daughter of Roger Hall Ptolemy and Mary Ann H. Ptolemy. She was their youngest. Jeanie was born 1870 in Ontario, Canada. She immigrated in 1902 after the death of her father. All found in the census. She married Jesse Hugo Weston on 21 Apr 1909 in Mancos, Montezuma county, Colorado. (This is at the state archives) The wedding was at her brother, John Edward and Cora Ptolemy's home. Wedding is mention at the Colorado Historic Newspaper Collection, on-line. Jeanie died in 1944 and is buried at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mancos, CO. After her death Jesse went to California and died there on March 12, 1948 in Los Angeles county. Jesse Hugo Weston is the son of James and Emmaline "Elty" Watkins Weston. Jesse's parents are both at Cedar Grove in Mancos. I do not know yet where Jesse is buried. He was the last in his family, so if he was brought back to Colorado, it would have been nieces or nephews or a friend.
