RE: Cousin Laura
Father Ledoux, last time that i met Laura was in the Cellar restaurant in Oct 2005 with her mother. The event was a gathering of several of the Lenz brothers and spouses. It so happened that my dad, sister, and myself were visiting Altoona at the time. Thanks for the contact information. i'll have to send her an email.

Rev. Terrance McGirr
I know you are quite the Catholic historian (particularly of Western Pennsylvanian Catholic history.) Do you happen to know anything about Rev. Terrance McGirr? He is my 4th great-uncle, and from what I can tell, he is the key to my family ending up in both the US and Western PA. I have a deed showing him selling land to my ancestor at a deeply discounted rate out of "brotherly love." I'm most interested in finding out if there is any information about his life in Ireland before he came to the US.

RE: Albert J McCloskey
i know Uncle Ray. He and my dad are first cousins, which makes me one tier off. The connection is Arnold Dominic Lenz. UR's father and my grandfather were brothers. True, Uncle Ray is very involved with the local veterans organizations. In fact, my sister put the Legion Post license plate on the front of her command HUMVEE in Iraq when she was over there. i think Monsignor Paul is in the assisted living facility in Hollidaysburg now. Monsignor is the glue to our clan of Lenzes. The first time i met him was in 1992 at Anchorage, Alaska when he was the Black and Indian Missions coordinator. He was visiting the state. After mass i was the last person in the receiving line, shook his hand and asked him "Do you know anyone from Gallitzin?" You should have seen the look on his face. That started the link between the families again.

That was quick. The other piece of information that i can share is Albert's wife was Augusta Catherine 'Gussie' Vaught who is my great aunt.

I'm glad I'm not the only one having those issues. I thought it was my computer at first, then Bruce Felix contacted me with the same problems. I told him to have patience, that they'll fix it eventually.

I'm still working on St. Stephen's in Johnstown's West End, and St. Columba's and Benshoff Hill as secondary priorities. The weather was so nice last week I was wearing a t-shirt, now it's back to little Alaska.

Thank you- that helps a lot and can picture it in my mind. I've walked that place many times in the past looking for Bradley's and others for other people and I can't believe I didn't catch it.

Anyhow, thank you and I'll have to look for it my next time up there in the spring. By the way, I noticed my "requests fulfilled" bumped back up again over the past day or so. I was having a problem loading photos.

They were taking an extra long time and if I hit the memorial tab to stop it loading it would skip the part where it would show "sucess" and the person's name that I got the photo for. If I just let it run its' course, it would finally load and end up posting up anywhere up to 4 duplicates.

It still seems slow but not as bad. Hope all is well and thank you again!

Dorthy Alice Peer #128263600
Father Al,

Thank you for finding my relative, the infant Dorthy Peer. I always thought she was in an unmarked grave. Can I have permission to use your photo in my family tree, citing you as the source/contributor of course?

I imagine, you probably can't recall what section of the cemetery it was located by chance? Anyhow, hope all is well.

Thank you again!
