My grandmother documented years of our family ancestors and if there is one thing I would love to do is to follow her footsteps. |
I got hooked on Find A Grave while searching for missing links and felt I would like to pay forward to those who helped me by helping others.
I am happy to transfer memorials to family members. If you see a memorial which I added please feel free to contact me.

Thanks, Sharon. We spent a lot of time going through cemeteries in Clarion County last fall, but did not find Amelia Cryzter Henderson's grave. She may be buried in Centre County where they were living at the time of her death. And, it may be that David came home from the war to bury her and then returned shortly thereafter to his unit.
The children were taken in by various family members with Hezekiah ending up with his uncle John J. in Sigel. David Holloway Henderson may not have had time to provide a grave marker.....OR, the marker has since been damaged, broken or buried. I'm thinking David Holloway's bible would have provided answers, but no one seems to know the whereabouts of it. It's a mystery.

Thanks so much. My husband has a cousin who thought Amelia was buried in a cemetery named Greenwood. When I googled it, sure enough, it has been changed to New Rehoboth-Greenville Presbyterian Church.
I just put a call into that church and left a message. I'll let you know if I hear anything.
Also, David Holloway Henderson married twice, and his second wife's name was Elizabeth Hottel. That may be the reason you are seeing Elizabeth on records. My husband descends from that union.
If you like, I can leave my email address for you, and we can connect that way. Thanks again.
P.S. I was born near Versailles, PA, and know the area. Small world!

I was wondering if you are a direct descendent of Dallas Henderson, Hezekiah Henderson & David H Henderson? If so, would you have any info about David Holloway Henderson? We are searching for his first wife Amelia Crytser/Krocher. Hezekiah was a 1/2 brother to my husband's grandfather. Thanks! Joyce H.

Would you be willing to transfer James to me? He was a Revolutionary War hero and died a bachelor. He is my 3rd great grandfather's brother. Thanks!

I would like to thank you for posting the picture of my Great Great Grandfather. I had never seen this picture before.

Dear Sharon: Thank you so much for the great information! Unfortunately I don't have any dates yet. The funeral guest book that I am working on was not filled out. The only writing in the book at all are the approx 64 signatures of the "Friends who called" . I am trying to narrow down the date and possibly a family line by compiling a list of the birth, death and marriage dates and a possible connection of the "guests". That is why I was asking for the marriage date of Mr and Mrs Ezra Draper. It is definitely a puzzle! :) If you would like a copy of the signatures, I will gladly send it to you! :) Sheila
