I did run across the National Cemetery burial but did not record it. Thanks for the reminder. Spouse: Minnie Scates b. 1895 Alabama. Married Rossville,Walker Co; Georgia 18 June 1915. My e-mail address is: firstname.lastname@example.org

I do not know where he is buried and I could not find his death certificate. I did find that he had two children other than a stillbirth. A son, Teaburn, that died in Galveston, Texas at age 54. Even found his death certificate. Also a young girl named Magnolia that only lived about two months. As a young boy I heard the name Teaburn but never met him that I remember and did not know he was "Mackie's" son. This is what his grandmother, Mamie called him. She and Mack sr. divorced and she later married Charles Hope. Just like Mac jr. she was a herb doctor and dealt in herbal medicine. I loved this lady so much because she was so sweet. She lived to be 96 years old. She was a sister to my grandmother, Margaret Viola Darr Dillard.

I am a great grandnephew of Henry Mac Gossett. I would like it if another son can be added to his list of children. It is Mack Gossett born 11 Feb 1895 and died 14 Aug 1932. The 1900 US Census has misspelled the name of Gossett to Gassett.
Mack Gassett Son M 5 Tennessee 1900 US CENSUS
H M Gossett
Head M 40 North Carolina
Mamie Gassett Wife F 27 Tennessee
Voldon Gassett Son M 8 Tennessee

I do indeed. I wonder how that happened. It's gone now. Thanks for letting me know.

You are very welcome, Nan. And, thank you for giving me permission to post the obituaries. Some contributors don't like it, thus the reason I always let them know so I can remove the obit if they have objections. I try to always honor the wishes of the one who created the memorial.
I hope you have a very blessed and Happy Mother's Day, too.
