I just love genealogy. I got hooked several years ago. I just love walking cemeteries. Many old stones are gorgeous. I just love a good mystery to solve. Many time answers are just awaiting me. I just have to keep my eyes open. |
I add other stones that I see in my treks in hope of helping others. If I have added one of your family, I'd be happy to transfer "management" of the memorial to you. Just let me know. Please use the edit tab on the memorial to do so. That way, I can make sure that I am transferring the correct memorial. If you notice any errors, please let me know via the edit tab and I will make the corrections. Thanks. Please be patient with me about the edits that are sent automatically. I do try to keep up with them. Sometimes I do forget to check.
I lived in Green Township, a Cincinnati suburb for many years. I walked many of the cemeteries in Hamilton County, Ohio and Campbell & Kenton Counties in Kentucky. I currently live in Whitefish, Montana.
I walk cemeteries in Flathead County now.
You have my permission to use any photos I take for your family trees. Please credit me with taking those photos as CarolS on findagrave. Thanks.

Mine just had the initials F B for the given names, so possibly that's how it was overlooked. I don't know. Really like your new profile picture!
|Jane Marie Morrison||RE: Elizabeth Birkle|
I found her obituary on a paid site - newspapers.com.
The Archdiocese of Ohio will do 5 searches for $25. I'm not going to do it now because my husband recently got laid off, along with 500 others. I do believe Lillian is her middle name but I'm happy with it showing as a nickname.
Whenever he gets a job, I will contact the Archdiocese of Ohio. I have other relatives that I need searching on. If I can prove Lillian is her middle name, I'll let you know.
Thank you for adding her obit.
|Constance Romine||Charles G Little|
I am so sorry, to much searching ,got confused! I am inquiring about
Charles G Little
born 1-29-1817 died 6-30-1862
husband of Catharine 1825-1904
buried at Miami Cemetary
|Constance Romine||George Little|
My name is Connie Romine (Little),I was wondering about this grave site for George Little ,wife Catherine. What do you know of this family and are you related? I am looking desperately for my great-great grandfather, Charles Little. I have found articles that said his family lived in Add to dictionary in the 1800's. My grandfather however was an adult in Greensburg,IN.
Is there anything you can share with me?
|Susan Burr||Louis Brune|
Hi. Louis Brune is my great grandfather. No, I don’t want to take over management, whatever that means. I was just wondering if you had any history information for Louis. I have tons of information for his wife, Mary, and then their (my) family going forward. I just don’t have anything on Louis’s history, like when he came to this country (maybe 1880?), or any other Brune relatives in the area. Genealogy research doesn’t help. His name “was” Ludwig. And for some strange reason, on the marriage certificate it says Lukas. After that he’s known as Louis.
I run into dead ends and then something comes up practically every spring and I start researching again. I actually just had help from a guy on find-a-grave to confirm Mary’s father, and he sent me to an Ancestry bio! So I thought I would ask you if you are getting information from somewhere else or just cataloging graves with what’s out there. Thanks.

Wow, your memory is amazing. But you remember things by color like I do. When I worked at the Filson Club in Louisville I would say things like, 'You know, that little red book on the top shelf in the southeastern room of the library.' Not very technical, but it's MY filing system so I have to work with it. :)
|Todd Whitesides||RE: Hemmerle Family|
Sure, of course. I just wanted to pass a message along about it before I forget. Hope your travels are fun and safe.

Several listings of yours for this family at St Joseph Cemetery in Wilder, Kentucky are duplicates. Do you mind to take a look as time permits and see what you think?
|Jill S. (Gasdorf) Topper||Matilda (Gasdorf) Reis|
Hi Carol, Thank you for your many memorials on findagrave. I was born a Gasdorf. I have the obituary of Matilda 'Tillie' (Gasdorf) Reis. Her married surname in the censuses and in her obituary is spelled Reis although the marriage record to Charles spells it Ries. I've tried to convert her obituary from pdf to jpg format and post it to her memorial, but have not been able to do so. You might have better luck. Let me know if you want it. BTW, I descend from Christopher Gasdorf. He was Conrad's older brother. They lived next to each other in Newport, KY in the latter part of the 1800s.

I am pleased to make your aquaintence on Find A Grave. My father is brother to the man in the picture . My dad is Tommy Gene Yeager Sr. and the profile you transferred was that of my my uncle Jackie L.Yeager. I certainly do appreciate your taking the time to help me out and for transferring my uncles memorial. My dads family is the branch from LoganCounty, West Virginia. His mother was Juanita Crum Yeager Blanton and she was married to Hobert Yeager that was her first husband and her second husband was James Blanton.
I certainly think there could be a chance were kin. Thanks for helping out. Sincerely Kimberly Yeager Lowery aka Grave Seeker68
