RE: Charles Houchard
I don't want the memorial transferred to me. I'm not related.

I really thought that you'd simply remove GAR from the Bio. The books tell what's on the grave at the time they were "read"--they aren't always correct. In this case a flag holder with GAR medallion was incorrectly placed near the headstone. Probably put there by an organization like the Boy Scouts and they were a bit careless. No harm, no foul. At least the grave is decorated with our flag during all the holidays--the least that can be done for a man who served our country.

I thought the additional information could be added to the memorial. I like to look up the vital records when I add a photo simply to make the information more complete. :-)

Ida Klingler Adam
I'm doing family research for a friend who is descended from Ida Klingler Adam and discovered the photo you added to her memorial. Could you tell me who is who on the photo? It would be much appreciated.

RE: Hackney Memorials
Hi Kathleen,

No need to transfer management of the two memorials. I would only suggest deleting Jim's memorial since he is still alive.

Re: Charles M Ruhlen ĖFAG # 47306306
Kathleen,
Charles was born and died at Cheyenne Agency (aka Fort Bennett), Dakota Territory and originally buried in the Post Cemetery there. His remains were moved in 1892, along with many of the others, to Custer National Cemetery. I am working the burials at Fort Bennett and have added one at that location for Charles (see Memorial# 147909842). If you would like a copy of the Post Cemetery interment record, Iíll send it to your email address.
Regards,
Jerry
