Most of the memorials I manage are in Rest-Haven Memorial Park. The cemetery has about 17,000 graves with just over 15,500 of them on Find-A-Grave. Rest-Haven has a mausoleum in addition to the cemetery. This cemetery has no upright gravestones, only flat ground level grave marker. The cemetery does not require that a grave be marked, so many graves have no markers.
I enjoy genealogical research and like to enhance the memorials I manage. It will take several years for me to research all 5,000 plus memorials. I give top research priority to a memorial when interest is shown in that memorial. So when edits are sent to me I research that memorial. If you have information for a memorial please send it. Also, if you have a special interest in a memorial let me know and I will see what I can find.
If you have a damaged or faded photo that you want to post, please email it to me instead of posting it. I would like to repair it prior to posting. If you would like the photo credit let me know and I will send you the repaired copy, so you can post it.
PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE A "Public Message" WHEN ASKING FOR EDITS OR TRANSFERS.
If you have a correction, extra information or want a transfer please use the EDIT TAB on that individual's memorial. Then use the suggestion option to add information or ask for a transfer. If asking for a transfer please state how you are related.
If you are not a Findagrave member/contributor please send me an email with your information. On the email's subject line put "Findagrave- (the memorial number and/or name)". Be sure to also include the person's name and memorial number in your email. A correct memorial number is extremely important. Please double check the memorial number you send.
OBITUARIES: Dave Baker, editor of the Eugene Register-Guard Newspaper, has given me permission to post obituaries on Findagrave.com.

I've checked; it looks like everything matches in the edits I've submitted.

I am not interested in numbers, etc. on Find A Grave. Just glad you were willing to post the obits for my cousin's family who do not work with Find A Grave to get the information out there for other family members across the country. Thank you.

Thanks for adding that--I've deleted mine, since yours is so much better. Can you please add it to her sister's page, too--oh, and could you add the caption "Margaret Ellen Minteer and Mary Belle Minteer" to both of yours?
I'd be curious, too, to know how you got that much sharper scan. And I'd have to look to see if Mary Belle's grandson Ed Crawford had sent me the actual old photo, or just a copy on paper. It seems like it is an actual old picture on cardboard--but quite faded, as can be seen from the scan.
|Lynn J. Gauthier||RE: John B. Wood - Westford VT|
Don't have a problem with the "Vermont" or the birth date you suggested - it is just determining the specific town where he was born as there is no birth record- Westford (Chittenden Co) where his parents were living in 1850 or Fairfax (Franklin Co.) where they were living in 1840 - as I mentioned the towns are adjacent so it is possible he could have been born in either place as I mentioned in his bio.

Could you share your source for his birthplace ?
I have been unable to find his birth record. His father/family lived in Fairfax VT (1840) & in Westford (1850). As they are adjacent towns but different counties, it is difficult to know exactly where he was born. For the time being I will make a notation to that effect in his bio and leave the specific birth place blank.
Hi, the edits have been completed however will you please share your source for the middle name?

Hi I have requested a photo of the grave. There is already one on Billiongraves.com and the name on the stone is Amelia Combs Forney
|Cheryl Ayres||Re: Elizabeth Powell|
Rebecca, I may have found something, daughter Harriet (Powell) Sexton was living with an aunt Eleanor (Baker) Horrom in Marshall County,Illinois in the 1900 census. This Eleanor was a daughter of Daniel W. & Margaret (Bradford) Baker, marriage license was issued to Daniel W. Baker and Margaret Bradford on 25 Feb 1811 in Lebanon, Warren County, Ohio.
|Cheryl Ayres||Re: Elizabeth Powell|
Are you sure about this marriage date? According to the 1850 Richland Co. WI census, William would be age 15.Dave Thompson Richland Co. Cemeteries website which he took the photo states she was 32 yrs old when she died which means she was born in 1817. I did find that William with daughter Margaret & son John W. were living back in Tipton Co. IN in 1860, his age is stated as 58 making him born 1802 instead of 1815, it is hard to believe that a 13 year old girl would be married, something isn't right.

Rebecca, Thank you for the fine photos of Mr. Ball. If he is in your family, I will gladly transfer him to you. Millie
