Martha Royster
Thanks for your update on Mem. # 33675692, Martha Royster. Maybe my wording was a little confusing. Her dad's name was Clark Royster. I gave a description of him founding Clarksville after his first name so that probably was confusing. I did an edit request for the maiden name to be Royster. I do have a little more information I will have to look up and pass along later. I'm ever greatful to you for your work.. For years the family had passed down that she married a Puryear and moved to North Carolina. Through her marriage record to Seymour and your Find a Grave contribution, we now know where she died!!!!!

Remember me
Turbeville Southern
I just checked and they have now placed the correct location for the cemetery, if you go to Turbeville Southern Cemetery and check the map's Sat. picture, you will see what I am talking about.

Remember me
Pine Grove/Turbeville Southern
If you will look at memorial 37073097 for James Rutter, you will see the dirt drive between the marker and Pine Grove Church, that is where the 2 cemeteries separate.

RE: Turberville
The area immediately next to hwy 378 is Turbeville Southern Methodist, separated by a small dirt drive from Pine Grove Methodist.

I found this online, it is from page 396 of “The poetical works of James Russell Lowell” (1819-1891)

Published in Boston: Fields, Osgood, & Co. 1871. First entered according to Act of Congress, in the years 1857, 1866, 1868, and 1869, by James Russell Lowell, in the Clerk's Office of the District Court of the District of Massachusetts.

Auf Wiedersehen is but a small part of the book...

Auf Wiedersehen.-Palinode.

Palinode. - Autumn.

(If earth another grave must bear,)
Yet heaven hath won a sweeter strain,
And something whispers my despair,
That, from an orient chamber there,
Floats down, “We meet again!”

These are the words carved on her stone
