Bio and Links
I first became interested in genealogy around 1975 when my father handed me his thin file on the Whaley family. I began to search for our earliest ancestors and was able to go back as far as the early 1700s in Loudoun Co, VA and document both a father and a son sufficiently enough to have them added to the DAR Patriot Index! I don't visit cemeteries, court houses, or libraries like I did back in the days before the Internet, but I still am bitten by the bug. My database is online:

http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=lynvos

with all of its assumptions and errors for the world to see.

I don't mind adding any factual information to the memorials, I just want to be sure when I do. Thank you for your reply.

William Graggs

Hello, received your request to add the middle initial of "P" to William Graggs memorial. I've had several contacts recently in regards to him. Can you give some proof or verification to your request? The Bible record, marriage records and Will does not suggest a middle name. Thanks!

I didn't even give it a thought that you were implying anything. I'll be glad to make the try but didn't see a memorial number. Furnish me the info and I'll gladly trf. Happy hunting & have a great day.

Thanks for the info; however, to the best of my knowledge I didn't post those w/wrong cemeteries. I will check them out & make corrections, accordingly. My offer to transfer any Whaley's that are related is still good. Just give me a yell. Have a great day.

Hi Lyn,
Thank you for the note concerning the duplicate memorials. I have deleted my newer memorial. I also contacted the manager of the other memorial & asked that he edit the cemetery. The correct cemetery is St. Peter's Pikeland UCC.

Thanks for letting me. It's no problem as we all make mistakes. When I make a mistake I like to be the first one to say that I made a mistake before someone else tells. Thanks and have good week-end. Henry

I have removed Rachel's name as his mother but I was sent that information to said to his memorial. You said that Rachel died in 1741 but her memorial is showing she was born in 1765 and died in 1841. How could she have died before she was even born. Thanks, Henry
