Here I am. Doing what I love doing. Cleaning lichen from the headstones in the cemetery, so the inscriptions can be read.|
2011 I started a Family Tree...What a wonderful thing to go backwards in time and find relations I never knew and will never know!! I found quite a few of my ancestors by researching cemetery data bases online. Some info but no photos of headstones, hence the reason for me listing on Find A Grave.
Maybe after I have gone, my descendants will know my past...
I hope the information I have entered on Find A Grave will help others to locate their ancestors.
If it does, I would welcome an email from you...
And, if I have made any errors, let me know and I will correct them a.s.a.p. XX

He is a relative of mine interred in the Papakura Cemetery. Would you be a sweetie and transfer the memorial over to me. My ID #46861461
Sadly, Leslie was killed in a road accident aged only 25 years.

Apologies for not replying earlier to you. I am from the West line which includes the Mudfords. I was told this information by a cousin - I just cannot recall whom right at the moment. There is a family book on the Hartley lines and a lot of information has been shared amongst us. It is a pity I cannot get my hands on the book itself as it is out of print and nobody will let other family members take the book away to borrow in case it is not returned lol.
As with hearsay; it is not always 100 percent, so happy to correct anything that is not correct.
You're welcome, others to come...!!

You're always welcome, Glennise.
|Michael Jennings||Augustus CALVERT|
I realize the MI for Capt Augustus CALVERT is deceptive. The Captain actually died 3 Jul 1865.
Sadly, Captain Calvert died as a result of a gunshot wound inflicted when his fowling piece was accidentally discharged as he climbed through a fence.
The date of 29 Jul 1863 is when his son Sylvester was killed during a Maori attack on their farm.
Both stories appeared in local newspapers.
Captain Calvert was my 3 x great grandfather.
Thank you for the picture I requested and doing it so quickly!
