When my soul is restless
And things seem out of line,
I visit an old graveyard
To take a mystical step back in time.
I find the oldest tombstones
Then read the messages there;
I consider what their days had been
And how our lives in ways compare.
We all have lived though heartaches
As well as episodes of fun;
Surviving loss of loved ones,
And rewarded for a job well done.
Sometimes if I'm very still
I can hear what they have to say
And feel them reaching out to me
Grateful for my momentary stay.

|Michael Lewis||Nettie Leona Tippett Sanders|
Leona Sanders was my wife's Grandmother, her Mothers Mother. Would you be willing to release this Memorial to her so it can be added to the Sanders family?
|Kristian Wilson||Gussie Elizabeth Henson|
Gussie Henson was the daughter of Bessie Luther, not Dona Hopper, as stated on Ms. Henson's death certificate. Ms. Luther was Manvers Melvin Ledford's first wife.

Thanks so much for going out of your way to look for her headstone. I believe you are right that the grave probably was marked by fieldstone. I appreciate your efforts. Thanks!

My pleasure, we are trying to document the soldiers who fought in 29th North Carolina Infantry. Glad that you enjoyed reading his service record; gone but not forgotten.
|PiedmontSmith||James Harley Radford|
