My Walker Clan

I am distantly related to Dr. Owston's Palmer Suttle line through my great uncle Henry Chapman's nephew's wife Pansy Ora nee' Suttle Chapman. Henry's niece Helen Chapman wed William Walker. The Chapmans were cattle farmers from Espyville, PA, Aaron and Eliza Jane Gilliland Allen Chapman, b. 1823 and 1832 respectively. My uncle is Paul Walker in British Columbia. Do you know if there's a connection between us or the Walkers of southwestern VA?

Thank you.

Rachael (nee' Chapman Cawthorne) Cook

RE: Sarah (Morris) Walker
You are quite welcome. It is very satisfying to connect descendants with their ancestors gravestone - just others have done for me.

John Rodgers
Thank you very much Todd for the fine picture of the headstone for John Rodgers. PA is a long ways from CA so you have done me a favor.

John and Sarah Lowrie, both D. 1837
The posting for Eliza Lowrie Ritchey included the names of John and Sarah Lowrie as parents of this Eliza.
I believe that is correct but have not been able to find any documents to show that.
She was only 13 when they died. I have seen the record of John's death of yellow fever in Mobile, AL on July 4, 1837 and of Sarah in PA along with John's mother Catherine Cameron Lowrie in Dec 1837.
I wonder if one of John's siblings took care of Eliza and another child - possibly Robert Lowrie B. 1827 - after the deaths of their parents and grandmother. I am sending a request to the Orphan's Court in PA in case there is a record of what happened to them but possibly there was just an informal agreement for a sibling to care for them ??
Anything you can share about this would be so appreciated.
Sincerely, Jackie Lowrie

P.S. I can definitely trace my line from Robert Lowrie (1827-1881) to Robert Walter Lowrie (1870-1948) to Howard Russell Lowrie (1897-1972) to my father Robert E. Lowrie (1926-2009)

RE: White Oak Cemetery
I found out that it is the White Oak Springs Cemetery in Conequenessing on Rt 68. It is also found to be FAKE NEWS on Facebook. However, there were some stones that have fallen over within the last 6 months but not as "reported" on Facebook.

Sorry for the false alarm.
