Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and the date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who cares
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you."

|Jim Gilmer||Minnie Lola Prescott McClain|
The grave of Minnie Lola Prescott McClain is not in Evergreen Cemetery. I searched all the sections with Prescotts, and there is no grave/marker for her. Her grave was listed in the 1969 Coffee County Cemetery Census, and the 2007 Evergreen Cemetery Survey by Herby McCall, which is on-line. Minnie Lola Prescott McClain has a new tombstone, in Lane 7 E of the Dothan City Cemetery, in Dothan, Alabama, Memorial #73804103. In the same plot there are new tombstones for Minnie's husband, Patrick O. McLain; her son, James O. McClain, and her daughter, Mary Lola McClain Helms Harvey.
So, whether Minnie's remains were moved to Dothan City Cemetery at some time, or just a new tombstone was erected in the family plot in Dothan, and Minnie's remains left in Evergreen, one could only speculate. Perhaps a surviving family member of Mary Lola McClain Helms Harvey, Minnie's daughter, would have the answer. Her memorial # is Memorial# 55139529. There is an obituary for Mary Lola posted on the memorial, which list her survivors.

I haven't talked to you in a very long time and I hope you are doing well. I asked for someone to take a picture of Minnie's headstone and I got a message from people that wrote me that her picture, of the headstone, is on memorial #73804103. Ronda Berry takes care of that memorial. The other memorial has Minnie buried in the Dothan City Cemetery, Houston County, Alabama. I think you made a mistake somewhere in your setting up the memorial.
Have lots of fun this week.

Hey John, I found parent and spouse info for Edward M Tilton and put in the edits for you to review. Here's the links to census data:
|Laura Hicks||John Stafford Parker|
Are you by any chance related to John Stafford Parker? # 30316466. I noticed you visited the grave. I am directly related to his sister, Willie Ethel Parker # 88378646 (she is my great great grandmother). Anyways, I am trying to find information on Daniel Joseph Parker, their father. I was wondering if you had any information on him.

Have added children to memorials #8362558 and 8362567. This was my husband's great grandparents. These children are listed on the US census 1910 for this couple. We have the original family portrait that the photos of this couple on their memorials were excerpted from. We are interested in the spouse listed as Elitha Ann Little Lassiter lsited on memorial 8362558. Do you have a marriage cert. or date of marriage? We have no photos/or any record of this spouse. There had never been any mention of a 2nd wife by any family member. Our last visit with Ephraim Lassitter was in 1966, 2 years before his death, at that time he lived with his son Perry Wesley Lassitter in Pensacola, FL. At the time of his death in 1968, he was living with his son, Luther B. Lassitter.
