I made an error about the cemetery. He is actually buried at Placerville Old City Cemetery. From what I have learned, this cemetery has been vandalized over the years and many of the stones are either missing or destroyed. It is a gamble if his grave has gone untouched. He died in 1895.
If you happen to be out that way, I would sure appreciate it if you could check and see.
Thank you for all of your help!

Thank you for the photo and the story about the markers. At least I have something for my relative.

Would you please enter the picture you took of the headstone to his wife's Find-a-Grave, Memorial # 92681359?
Thank you again.

Thank you for taking the pictures of Jeannette Fawver, Alice Myers and William Johnson. Due to health issues, we are not able to travel at this time.

Thanks for catching that error. I think I was copying the info off of the cemetery records which had the birthdate and year listed as 1851. Can't believe I missed that.

I want to thank you for your attempt in looking for Martin. I have not been doing ancestry for a while and I missed your post. I know Martin is unmarked because I have had an opportunity to walk the cemetery myself....Just wanted to say thank you for your efforts. Carol Peifer

Hi Bill- Just a note to let you know that I posted a photo of the James Slaton stone. A friend and I have photographed this entire cemetery and are slowly getting them added. Hopefully I saved you a trip and some gas since it's 4.27 in P'ville!
