Bio and Links
Bio Photo In the course of researching and putting together my family tree, my husband and I have come to realize just how fulfilling it is to have an answer. This site helped us find some of ours. We appreciate the opportunity to help others find theirs.

My husband is a linguist who has a particular interest in Old German gravestones. He's always willing to help translate if desired.

Charles C Crabbs
Charles C Crabbs memorial # 95961428 you have his father as Charles E Crabbs. B. 1837 D. 1924 That's not his father. His son Roy Crabbs b. 1891 D. 1965 has Charles E Crabbs in his 1920 census in taneytown as a boarder not his grandfather. He is really just a distant realitive boarding. If you look at Charles C Crabbs his father is William Crabbs B. 1825 d. 1893. His father his George Crabbs b. 1793 D. 1859. Now if you look at the 1850 census of George Crabbs in taneytown his " I Assume brother" Frederick Crabbs is living right beside him. One of Fredericks kids is Charles E Crabbs B. 1837 D.1924. His wife Ellen in the 1910 Census states she don't have any kids born, or any kids alive. All census records support that. They never had children.

Herregeroder Gravesite
Great picture & research. That seems to solve the correct spelling for the surname of Johannes C who is a key figure in my ancestry, as he is the German who immigrated to US.

Darby Dan
R. Wyndham Walden # 105699138
His first name was Robert but he always known by Walden.

If you would like to do a brief bio, he is an important historical figure in Thoroughbred horse racing and a U. S. Racing Hall of Fame inductee. He won the Preakness Stakes. second leg of the U. S. Triple Crown series, a record 7 times and the 3rd leg, the Belmont Stakes, 4 times.

Here is his HoF link:

he also has a Wikipedia bio:

You could also add this to his son, Robert J. (Find A Grave Memorial# 105699530).
Like his father, Robert Walden was a trainer of Thoroughbred racehorses. In 1899, he won the Kentucky Derby with the colt, Manuel.

Here is a link to a PDF biography for him by the Carroll County Times :

RE: Nusbaum Cemetery
I am glad to know this. Since I have been interested in family history, I have thought of that cemetery and was worried that it had been forgotten. So glad that you took the time to do that. Thanks for info.

Gladys I Grabill Griffin #75806370 - spouse
Seeking the burial or Find A Grave memorial (or evidence of cremation) of Gladys' husband, Perry Ward Griffin, who died in Youngstown, Mahoning, Ohio 24 May 1941, and, according to the death certification, was living in Bessemer, Lawrence, Pennsylvania at the time.
As you can see, it is emblazoned on her stone that she was his wife.
If you are a relation, perhaps you might know, or have a lead.
Your time and attention is very much appreciated.
All the best,
PJ Miller
