Thank you so much for your kind reply. I would like to visit France and see war-related sites. On the top of my list are the preserved trenches of WW I. I know they wouldn't have the grandiosity of sculpture, but I think they would still be close to taking my breath away.

I saw the pictures of the French American Cemetery and I was wondering if you knew the name of the statue. It's one of those things I wish I could see in person.

You sent me an edit to change the spelling of the first name....done.
Could you please send me sources for the maiden name. I cannot find anything on her prior to marriage.

Thank you for posting the photo of the Memorial at this cemetery. Do you know if it is possible to obtain a photo of his listing on the Memorial?
I'am seeking information on possibility of photos at the Normandy American cemetery. I'm trying to locate a photo of my gt uncle's headstone, & was wondering if any such photos exists?
Any help will be much appreciated!

Try calling Karrie in the Forest Hill office. I think she and I looked Ms Towers up before, but it might be worth a second check to see if the records are correct.
The office number is 315-735-2701 and the email address is firstname.lastname@example.org
I'll be at Forest Hill looking for other graves later this morning and this afternoon.

I have been to Forest Hill Plot 27 several times. I have not been able to find a gravestone for Christian Towers.
The Tiers in Plot 27 have many unmarked graves and many stones that are illegible due to weather erosion.
The "Tiers" through out Forest Hill were often burial sites for people without means for paying for their headstone and plot, thereby buried by the county.
I have checked with the Forest Hill office and looked at the Plot Plan to see if I can locate Christian Tower's grave. I used known gravestones to try and fix his location - to no avail thus far.
From some of the graves I have found in Plot 27, it appears that the cemetery Plot Plan for 27 has several inaccuracies.
I'll keep trying and hopefully will have some luck finding him for you.
Are you a relative of Christian Towers?
