I love finding the old forgotten cemetery out in the woods, and there are plenty around this area! Please contact me to transfer management of any memorial I have added or if you need any additional research done.

Laura Abdon Cremeans
Hello, I believe you have the wrong husband (William Maurice Cremeans) attached to Find A Grave Memorial# 109576342 (Laura Abdon Cremeans). I just completed a research project for William Maurice Cremeans and his family and believe Laura's husband was William Marse Cremeans. I found William Marse Cremeans Draft registration on and his date of birth is 1879 where William Maurice Cremeans date of birth is 1882. There are also census records in both Greenup Co., KY and Scioto Co., OH that can prove my point if you care to check them out. I also found that both William M. Cremeans and William Maurice Cremeans married in 1890 in Greenup Co, Ky. Willam M. Cremeans married Mary Webb and William Maurice Cremeans married Pearl J. Webb. Later William M. Cremeans married Laura Abdon and William Maurice Cremeans married (2) Rebecca Kidd and then (3) Grace Green. I can see how it would be easy to confuse these two men, because early in my project I did the same thing and thought William Maurice Cremeans was married to Laura Abdon. Bruce E. Logan Jr.

RE: Royal D Golden (1932-2007)
Thanks for the help in correcting the cemetery. The VA listed it as Grizzle. Don't make a special trip out to Grizzle Madden, but would appreciate a photo of his headstone when you do. It should probably be a VA grave marker. Thanks again.

Royal D Golden (1932-2007)
Greetings Deedles,

I noticed that you have posted recent gravemarker photographs taken at the Grizzle Cemetery and hoping you might live nearby the cemetery so I could ask a favor of you.

The Veterans Affairs Nationwide Gravesite Locator indicates a Shipmate who served onboard USS SAVANNAH (AOR 4) during 1970-1972 is buried in the Grizzle Cemetery.

The VA Gravesite Locator gives the following information:
DATE OF BIRTH: 05/27/1932
DATE OF DEATH: 01/10/2007

I cannot find a Find A Grave memorial for him although there wouldn't necessarily have to be one. But I'm wondering if the VA might have listed an incorrect cemetery.

I'd like to memorialize Gunners Mmate Chief Golden on our ship's website but I don't want to post anything until I know for sure of his burial site.

If you (or anyone reading this) could check for a headstone at the Grizzle Cemetery (18 F.A.G. memorials) and send me a photo of his gravemarker, I'd appreciate it. I will also post a Find A Grave memorial if I can ascertain he is buried there.

Thank you very much,

Dale E. Ebersold

RE: Transfer Request
My name is Pat Wilkerson, and I am a volunteer with WRVHS helping to do the edits. As a group we get quite many edits. I did not notice your request of a transfer as I don't think it came in using the EDIT button. I just happened to read the page a few moments ago. I do apologize for not doing this sooner, but the transfer is now in the works. A suggestion for future edits, it will be much faster responses if you use the edit button.
When you do use the edit button, all the numbers are right there and it does go a lot faster.
Have fun with your ancestor hunting. Pat

Saluda Preston
Hi, this may sound odd, but did I give you the very brief biography of Saluda? If so, would you mind adding my name to it? I'm hoping relatives of Saluda may get in touch. If I didn't send it, then please forgive this lapse in memory.

RE: Requesting permission to use Photos posted on Find A Grave pertaining to my Families

Thank you so very much for sharing this photo. I have been searching for this stone for many years.

Elsie is my 1st cousin 1x removed. Her mother was my grandmother's sister.

You have filled in a large hole in my research due to your kindness.

Thank you,
Sheryl Frazier-Long

Requesting permission to use Photos posted on Find A Grave pertaining to my Families
Hi Deedles,

I would like to add the Tombstone photo of Elsie Hamilton, buried in Adkins Cem., Argillite, Greenup, Ky. to my files. I think this is the daughter of my great aunt, Mary Newman Hamilton and Elick Hamilton.

Thank you for taking your time to post the information and photos, for us, on Find A Grave.

Thank you,
Sheryl Frazier Long

If permission is granted I would list you in my files as Source:

Hastings graves in Commerce
Hi, I have taken pictures of the three Hastings in Commerce Cemetery that you requested, but they are vertical, & even though I rotated them, I'm having trouble getting them to appear that way on Find a Grave. I have a new computer, & I'm still working out the kinks (in me, not the computer!), so I'll keep working on it & maybe I can get their pictures added soon.

RE: Walnut Hill Cemetery
While I was there I noticed two other Robertson's next to him, Laura and Dennis. I took those pictures also and sure enough they were not on find a grave either. I put those in as well.
I'm glad that I could be of some help.
