Bio Photo I am a retired school teacher. I found Find A Grave by accident after discovering my mother's grave was added by another volunteer. My goal is to get photos of graves of all my family members on Find A Grave and to help others who live near me. We moved in June 2008, and FAG (visitng cemeteries) has been a great way to learn about my mother's home state. Photo taken with my two older sisters when I was about 6 months old!

RE: Grant Groenveldt
Please send me an email address so I can send it. You maybe will be able to confirm if that is him. It appears to be. His son never spoke of him so his grandson knew nothing about him. We are trying to figure out if that is his photo.

I think you said you went to his funeral. Do you recall where that was?

Probably better to speak in email. Mine is chopkins at

RE: Grant Groenveldt
Hi Barbara,

I have a couple photos you might be able to identify. One appears to be Grant Groeneveldt in a WWI uniform. It was saved by his son Lourence Groenveldt. Also do you know where Grant was buried?

my email is

My half uncle Doug appears to be related by DNA. My grandmother Virginia Hopkins had a son in 1947, where all DNA accounts that it is likely possible that the father is Grant.

So Iím searching in honor of people who have lived a life.

Not so much unlike ours...
