Thanks for suggesting 10/3/1817 as birth of Elizabeth. Please let me know a verifiable source. If it is calculation from stated age at birth, I don't use that unless there is a clear photo of the gravestone to prove accuracy of transcription.

I don't know of any Fickes info in particular but there is a town historical society (Shippensburg Historical Society) http://www.shippensburghistory.org that has some research on local families. There is also a county historical society - (Cumberland County Historical Society) https://www.historicalsociety.com that has great resources. I believe you could just send them an email asking if they have info on the Fickes name and they would let you know either way. Best wishes in your search!

Thanks for the link. I use familysearch.org but I was looking for his death in PA and that is why I couldn't find it. The memorial is now updated. Thanks so much!
