RE: Clinton, Iowa
Hi Matthew,

My father and grandfather were both from DeWitt. My great-great-grandfather purchased his farm between DeWitt and Welton in 1854.

RE: Cook Memorial
You are very welcome. The acid rain in this area of Kentucky causes marble, and stones of similar composition, to erode more quickly. It is sad to say, but photos will be the only way to identify these markers in a few generations. Thanks for all of your contributions, D. L.

RE: Thanks for Photo
I was glad to be able to get the photo and I would gladly add the info, but I didn't post the memorial, so you will need to contact the lady who did. Just click on her name, I believe it was Sheila.

On my previous message, the dates for Amanda's hospitalization were incorrect. She was admitted 3/1886 and discharged 7/1888, readmitted 9/1889 and stayed until her death in 1925.
