Hi, Thomas D. Chilcote - Memorial# 178159568. Unknown (Although really 1877) - 1937. He is on: Plot: Sec 17 Grave 2625 there. I was told on BillionsGraves that there was no headstone of him there. When you get a chance, can I please get a photo of his empty grave? Yep I sent out a photo request of him and nobody responded so far. Thank-you.

|Hilda Fry||wrong date for Bessie L. Harney|
She died 1/5/1986. I put the wrong date in my prior message.
There is a long, long list of photo requests for this cemetery. Is anyone honoring them?

|Hilda Fry||photo of Charles Walter Harneys tombstone|
I believe that Charles Walter Harney, plot sect 56, lot 817 was the husband of my great niece, Betty L. Harney who died in 1969. I do not see a grave photo for either of them. Perhaps they have a shared stone. Could someone please take a photo of that tombstone.

|james sawyer||Mary Louisa Jacques Cassady|
My name is James Sawyer, I wanted to put a picture of Mary & Meade cemetery plot and a picture or two of Mary herself but you say not do so. Is there a reason to not do this or can I go ahead and do it. Mary is/was my Great grandmother on my mother's side of the family. I am on Facebook, Ancestry and Find A Grave to leave a message.
I Thank you for your time on this matter.

|MeeMee (Wilma)||Gypsy grave|
Many years ago my husband lived near Albright Cemetery. He remembers a gypsy grave there, but doesn't recall the man's name. I would like to see a picture of the monument. It had a picture of the man on it. Can you help me?

Sir: In looking for my husband's ancestor who has the name Susan C. Allen, I came across this entry. It was placed by "Cemetery Haunter" and the message line to that person has been disabled. Your picture of the cemetery picture was placed on the record so that is why I am writing to you. I wrote to Crown Hill for information...just to make sure that wasn't the "Susan" I am looking for. The lovely person was 15 months old when she died...Who can I give other information to so this record can be updated. Who knows...maybe a descendant of this family is looking for information. I have the burial certificate and other information as to why Susan was moved.
Thank you in advance for all you do in helping us "sort out the past"!!

Could you please remove the photo for General Scott Horsley, Sr. (1811-1883). The website isn't allowing me to request a photo for the headstone because it says that there is already a photo there, but the photo is of the cemetery entrance, and not the headstone.

|Adrian Russell||Search for John Henry Grier lineage|
Good morning. My name is Adrian Russell, and I am a member of the Bethel Tabernacle Apostolic church - the church Elder John Henry founded in 1937 and built a new edifice in 1948! This church is located at 2002 Dr. Andrew J. Brown Avenue, in Indianapolis, Indiana. The street was first known as "Martindale Avenue."
Recently, we have began an effort to renovate this church and build a new addition on to the building some say Elder John Grier literally built himself. I am over the building and design for the project, and I am also a very appreciative of history and legacy. For some time, I have been trying to locate anyone in or even remotely tied to the family and legacy of Elder John Henry Grier - our founding Pastor and original visionary.
It would be awesome to celebrate this man and family in this process as our church reflects back on history to go forward. Original floor plans, early pictures of the church, at the church, the original building, construction of the building would be TREASURE. Please, I pray this message finds someone who can lead us in the right direction. You may email me any time at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you and God bless!

|Denise Avery||Old Union Cemetery|
According to a list I saw at the Marion County Genealogical Society for this cemetery, it included some Avery's. I am looking for the graves of George Avery and his sons Solomon Avery & David Avery. George was not on the list I saw, but Solomon & David were. Have you come across any graves with that surname at the cemetery?

I wonder if I may have your permission to use your grave marker and/or cemetery photos on my family website. Check it out at www.freienmuth-shortridge.com/shortridge/cemeteries.html. This is how I'd be using the photos and obituaries I find on Find A Grave, with 'used with permission' in the caption.

I clicked down one image too far as the Fairview CEMETERY photo was uploaded by you, not the obituary image above it. My apologizes!
Added by seekerJay on Jun 08, 2015 12:48 PM
I'm sorry - the obit was for Emma A Brown, the wife of Marion F Ghee. It wasn't for Mabel Westfall (she's Emma's daughter from Emma's first marriage to Joseph Perry Westfall; Mabel is mentioned in Emma's obit as a survivor). I hope I haven't confused things too much!
Added by seekerJay on Jun 01, 2015 11:01 PM
Hello - Even though we aren't supposed to upload obituaries, I was grateful to see one for Mabel Westfall that you added to her memorial: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=63124886. However, there's a problem. The obit says that her husband, Marion F Ghee, survived her. But, according to the cemetery records, they both died or were buried on 31 May 1931. Marion: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=63124888. The superintendent told me that the records were in terrible shape and he's spent years trying to correct and fill them in. If they both died so closely together, it seems to me that Emma's obit would have mentioned such an important fact, so something is off. Marion's obit is needed to solve the question. SO - is it possible to get an obituary for Marion, too? Is the newspaper online somewhere or will the local library find one for me? Thank you for your help!
