David Blackston
Ebenezer Blackstone
Hi Nancy,

I am a apparently a cousin of yours. Ebenezer was my 5th great grandfather along paternal lines (assuming I am counting correctly). He has been a dead end in my research, and I was wondering if you had uncovered any additional information about him.

FWIW, I do not believe the lineage here that has Ebenezer's parents being John and Rebecca. They did have a son named Ebenezer, but the birth and death dates don't match up, and their Ebenezer lived in a very well documented fashion in upstate New York.

I have a document that I have prepared that contains some of my thoughts on his heritage. I'd be happy to share it with you if you send me a private message here that contains your email address. The doc is stored on GoogleDocs and I'd be happy to give you read privileges.

In any case, I'd love to compare notes. This mystery has been bugging me for a long time.

Best,

Dave Blackston

Kate Cuneo
Mary Ann Blackstone
Also, Mary Ann was my 4th great aunt. Cool, huh? I have Ebanezer spelled as Evanezer by the Mormans, but Gramma always maintained they were wrong. I have him serving in the war of 1812, and he is also mentioned as being at the Battle of Tippecanoe. I have the year of 1830 as the year of death, as my great grandmother said he died the same year his son Hiram King Blackstone was born. She never said if he died before or after Hiram's birth though, sorry about that. Since she wasn't born until 1892, she came along quite some time after his death. Her father was Ebanezer's grandson, William.

RE: Ebeneezer Blackstone
Sure what would you like to share? My info on him is sketchy at best, but maybe I have something that might fill a gap, you never know. I got what information I have from my great grandmother, who is now passed, and from the Morons.

Ebenezer Blackstone
When I went to Kate Cuneo's profile page, she is a relative of these people. I own the family genealogy, scrapbooks, photos, etc and she and I have had some contact. I do not have much info on this family as yet as I have not started researching much of it. She has contacted me many times. I have not heard from her in quite a while though. I do not have any info on Ebenezer at all. Maybe requesting a photo of the headstone will clear the mystery up. I do that when dates are so elusive but I would suggest you write Kate and supply her with the info you have as she should answer you back. I am sorry I could not be of more info though
