While researching a local Layden family, originally from New Jersey, I found that one of the daughters was adopted vice a blood relative. This lead to the discovery of several newspaper articles which dealt with four sisters that had all been adopted around the 1924 to 1927 time frame. After 59 years, they found each other. One of the four sisters was married and her married name was listed as Anna Dunlay.

It may be coincidental, but also may not be? Two of four articles found used pictures. Reunited, one picture of an Anna Dunlay (July 1982) is very clear. Also, another article pictures all four sisters (May 1983) together, but does not show them close up and clear.

However, below this 1983 picture, it names each of the sisters and where they are from. They are: Georgiana "Georgia" Unalt from Manchester Township; Lillian Charlotte Leedom from Seaside Heights; Esther Evelyn Dodenhoff from Weehawken, and Anna Dunlay from Morris Township.

Would like to find if your Anna Dunlay is one of the four sisters.

Any assistance you can offer would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

You are welcome very much! I enjoyed the hunt. I almost missed him as he was buried under a layer of dirt and pine needles.

Unless there is another headstone I am thinking of, I believe this is in the same row at my cousin. Can you please call Calvary and get the grave location.

I remember the headstone but did not notice if there was another Bode family headstone next to it.

I remember this headstone like the back of my hand, I had to take a headstone photo for my cousin who is 5 headstones to the right of Catherine's headstone, unfortunately there is no headstone.

I will check her death certificate next week. Have you looked at her death certificate? I will see if I have her transcription in my files.

Where did you see 1 year and 3 months. I see 5 months and believe I viewed her death certificate. Are you looking at the headstone?
