RE: Weiderman
Hi Beth. Wiedemann is my husbands name. He is not interested in who he is related to. Not like me. I will continue to search for the Stanley's. They may not have a marker. I double checked my pictures that are hard to read and also checked my pictures at West Jamestown Cemetery. No luck.
Sorry. Pam

DeBerry Cemetery
Not sure if anyone ever answered you on this, but it is not an easy one to get to, I have been there several times and have photographed all those that can be photographed. From google Earth you can see a path from Hwy 92 going south to the cemetery, but a lady that owns that property is very difficult to deal with. A very nice old gentleman who lives near this cemetery has for years tried to keep this cemetery in good order, even dealing with the difficult lady.
Just let me know if I can let you more as mentioned I have been there multiple times.

as close as I can tell - if you pull in the front entrance you will see the building where they store all of the equipment - go to the south of that building and her lot number is 452 and it is in the section. Hope this helps. Go to my Find A Grave page and you will see her stone and also the little white building in the background. This should help. It is night next to the road.

RE: Brighton Chapel Cemetery
Beth, Brushy Chapel is a different place further south on Rt. 3. Brighton Chapel's (the church) address is 5415 North State Rd 3, Howe, IN 46746 (from the church website). Hope this helps.

RE: Brighton Chapel Cemetery
Brighton Chapel Cemetery is in Greenfield Twp., LaGrange Co., Indiana. It's not that far south of the interstate Rt. 80. It's on the west side of state road #3, south of state road #120, according to the LaGrange Cemetery book. The plot information I found in that book is in the Find a Grave memorials.

Have a great trip and give them my love. Drop me a line if you have any more questions.

RE: Zabel headstones
Hi Beth,

Yes - I have a cemetery map for you. It's just been crazy around here. I will try to email the map to you in the next few days. Are you familiar with Sturgis at all? The cemetery itself is easy to find but there is a bit of road construction that may slightly alter your approach to the cemetery.

I am happy to show you around town if you'd like.

RE: Zabel Headstones!
Hi, Beth,

I'm glad you are pleased with the headstone photos of the Zabel family.

I can email you a cemetery map, and will highlight the area where your relatives are buried. They are actually quite easy to find. Are you related to any of the other Zabels buried in Oak Lawn? They must have been a prominent family in this area as we have several places named for them---there is a Zabel Shores and Zabel Road.

I will try to get the cemetery map to you in the next week or so.

Best wishes,

RE: Zabels in Salem Cemetery
Hi, I was looking over my messages in Findagrave and was not sure if I had ever gotten yours from February. Salem Cemetery is very small and easy to walk around if you were looking for a map of the cemetery. If you are looking for a map to the cemetery, let me know how you are coming in and I can help you with that also. Ronda

RE: Zabels and Ginthers
Hi, Beth,

There is a map of Oaklawn Cemetery available in the history room of the Sturgis District Library. It does not list the names of the individuals buried in the cemetery, but each section is labeled.

John Zabel is buried in section D, row 8, stone 6. I have added information from his death certificate to his find a grave memorial.

If there is anything I can do to help locate your ancestors here in Sturgis and the surrounding area, please let me know.
