Hi Ben, Your mother, Bonnie posted the picture of the head stone for my ggGrandfather, William Denny Foster I wondered if you are related to our line of Fosters that live in Mocksville. And if by any chance did your mother know where his parents, James and Sarah Turrentine Foster are buried.
James died in 1846. They are not the James and Sarah Foster that are buried in Fork Baptist cemetery. Thank you, Judy Church

I pulled his death certificate from ancestry.com and found the date on his stone is incorrect. He died on July 27, 1937. You can correct the date and add his death certificate to his memorial to justify the correct date.

Ben, Unfortunately the only Rankin I have found who was an officer was N.P. Rankins. I do have 3 sources you might try. Sons of Confederate Veterans National, Broadfoot Publishing or Lynn Salsi. Lynn is with the Laura Wesson Chapter Order of the Confederate Rose. She is the best I know personally. Deo Vindice Gray Eagle

I haven't found his service record but will be glad to assist in your search. The honor of our Confederate ancestors is constantly under attack. It is our duty to defend it.

Yes, I have some pictures and information, most of it provided by a gentleman named Rolland Swank. He is friends with George Wolters, who was another crew member (engineer) on their plane.
If you'll send me your e-mail address, I'll be happy to e-mail the documents that I have".
Thank you so much for your help. My email is: Richard@RichardAFischer.com

Saw your note(below) on my Uncles memorial. Do you have any information, photos or anything about Ken's service during the war. I'm doing Family Genealogy and I can't seem to find anything.
My uncle "Bob" Jones was the tail gunner on Mr. Schreiner's plane in WW II. Remarkable they all lived through the war.

You will have to delete the photo since you put it up. Even tho I manage the memorial I can not delete photos other put up.

I'm not related to any of them.
Since you are, would you like for me to transfer them to you??? I'll be happy to do that.

|SleepingDog||Elizabeth (Lizzie) Fox Rankin Ryan|
Someone else sent in her maiden name as Fox, so I've added that to her entry. (I think it was someone else).
I have her connected to both of her husbands, so she will still have the connection to the Rankin name also.
Interesting family history!! Maybe all of their kids can be found and connected to them eventually.

I've corrected the entry so that Susan Elizabeth Close Rankin is shown as his first wife, and Elizabeth Rankin Ryan as his second wife.
I'm trying to figure out how Lizzie Fox got into the mix. Could she have been a third wife do you think??? Or could his second wife's maiden name have been "Fox", and the Rankin was from her husband, Thomas Rankin, and the Ryan from her second husband???
I notice that the parents of Mary Wharton Rankin Jones are listed as Thomas Rankin and Elizabeth Fox.

Thank you for the section number. I do not see what you mean by geo tagged. I cant see it in the photo.
I have made the parental links you sent.

Hi Ben, You asked me to update this memorial but I already had the links made.
I see you added photos for the memorial. If you know the plot location please let me know what section she is in so I can add it to the memorial.
Guilford Memorial Park is huge and without the plot location its hopeless to find one individual.

There you go Ben. You can add pics or whatever you want to it now. Who knows, maybe the genealogy bug will bite you too. Take care and thanks again for the info and showing interest in accuracy, which is very important to me too.

Hi Ben, thank you for your message. I am sorry for that mistake and I did make the change. Being that this was your Mother, would you like for me to transfer her memorial to you? I am all about family being with family. Thank you, and please accept my condolences.
