RE: James H. Rice Obituary
I reviewed my records and this obit is in The Chester Times on 7-8-1937. Don't know what else to tell you. Perhaps there is another website you can look at. By the way, most obits show up within two-three days of passing. Sorry I could't be of more help. Joz

RE: Thanks!
I can't remember if I ever answered you on this - sorry it took me so long! You've probably already figured this out, but I was able to obtain some information on the Stireman family tree from my mother-in-law (maiden name Stireman). You are correct - William E. Stireman was the youngest brother of John W. Stireman.

RE: Sara Watson Kiely Memorial
Thank you so much for the notice. I would never have looked for her in Canada with the death certificate saying Spokane WA. I have requested a photo in Spokane. It is possible she has a stone there or that the local volunteers will discover more. The ones that work in that cemetery are amazing and have a good relationship with the cemetery. So they may be able to find out more. It is possible she was never buried at Greenwood and that she was shipped to Canada. It is also possible she is buried in Washington and the stone in Canada is just a memorial stone. Or it is possible she was moved. I have noted on her memorial I manage the discrepancy and added a link to the Canada memorial. If I find out there is no stone etc in Washington I will delete the memorial. Again, thanks for the heads up.

RE: Edward Spear - Pierce Hill Cem
In addition to visiting the cemeteries in Montville a few years ago, I have a listing of readings by Norman Elliott in the late 50's or 60's. They are not on his list. I suspect they are buried in a private cemetery on the property they once owned. There are many undocumented burial grounds in Waldo County.

I did transcribe from the stones in the cemetery. I do not have a very expensive camera. That cemetery is very shaded and I could not get good pictures.
The bio was given to me by another contributor. Checking now, the 1850 census shows his mother as Dorotha. 1860 shows Wealthy. In 1860 there are 2 younger kids with the last name of McCorrison. I'm guessing Edwards parents were Joshua and Dorothy or Dorotha.

Sorry we're not related. We were transferred the lion's share of the memorials last summer. If you would like to care take this memorial please let me know and I'll transfer it to you. Love bringing families back together - I hope in some way this will help you connect with them. S

Hi, I transferred the memorial to you. As you can see the stone is in rough condition as are many of the stones in cemetery.

I recently snapped a pic of William E. Stireman's gravestone for your request and I was just curious... Are you related to the Stiremans in any way? I have been doing some research on the family tree as I enjoy this sort of thing and am engaged to what would have been his great-grandson. Just curious :-) Thanks!

Allyn....thank you for trying! I wrote to the individual who created her memorial to ask where he got the information of her burial. Her husband, William Shockley, is buried in Ames. Upon hearing back from him I will submit another request. Again thank you for your efforts.

Allyn, I do appreciate all your help. Yes the winter is quickly coming to stay and our picture taking opportunities will be very limited. Take care and have a wonder Thanksgiving and Christmas.

RE: Grace Spear
I've got her obit. It says the Muehlig funeral home in Ann Arbor was in charge of arrangements. She is not interred in Albion. It says surviving were a sister, Miss Marion M. Spear of Ann Arbor, 2 brothers Rev. Henry C. Spear of Beaver Dam, WI,and Marvin Spear of Detroit. My guess is she is interred with one of her siblings. A death certificate would give the name of the next nearest relative, and I would go that route finding where they were interred and checking with that cemetery. If you do find her let me know. I can get a nice photo of her. We have her in a 1935 silent film of the school system (October 1935), also.
