RE: Joseph S. Clements
Thank you Joyce. No, I hadn't seen it yet. I e-mailed Norwood to see if I can start a communication, to see what backup can be provided. I have an 1850 census that says otherwise but... stranger things have happened. We'll see. Thanks again!

I c u r new at this, when u type in capital letters you are considered hollowing. Just to let u kno, small letters on a memorial is preferred. thanks

John Wesley Payne
In response to your request: I have no control over siblings. You need to contact the manager of his memorial to get him unlinked from the wrong parents.

Please remove John Wesley Payne # 77432750 as a sibling. He is a nephew. His father Edward William Payne would be a sibling. At present time I am unable to locate his grave in Walker County, Al.
John Wesley is my grandfather and Edward William is my g-grandfather.

RE: Medlock
Hi Joyce,

Sorry you have had a hard time with this one, sometimes certain folks are quite illusive to narrow down data, I come across that frequently when I do volunteer work at Roosevelt, some names I just can't find anything on them. Others the puzzle takes a while but when all the pieces come together it's very rewarding to have solved mystery. Keep searching. Thank you for all that you do and thank you for your help. Jerry

RE: Mary Medlock
Hi Joyce, Thank you for your kind message, since getting it I tried to see if I could locate anything on genalogybank.com and newspapers.com, no luck so far, I did go back to ancestry.com and plugged in Mary Medlock and searched in the part that isolated down to newspaper publications. There was an obit published in Cullman AL, but it does not appear to be a match, hopefully the SD Genealogical society can be of help. Please advise if you have any edits needed.

I see nothing on the memorial which identifies him as a half-brother.

RE: COAL CITY CEMETERY
The Old Lady the kept up the Cemetery had all the places each one was buried in her head. Thats true she helped with rocks of un-marked Graves with this. No one listened to her or the care takers now would have records. Thank God for this she was a hugh help. And No I have like 30 graves of family here no records.

Sarah Johnson
From Sarah
I checked my Clements info, but found nothing on the individuals you listed. My Clements line came from SC to Alabama. My earliest known Clements was Salathiel Clements of South Carolina, who married Ellender Wade Barry of Virginia. They settled in Calhoun County, AL. I wish I could have been more help.

Merry Christmas!

RE: Transfer of Memorial
Hi! Huey Gordon Reed "Shorty" was Kelly Reed's son who was the son of Bud "Elijah" Reed who was the son of Elijah and Susan Jane Ivy Reed who were my great, great grandparents. I think this makes him my 4th cousin. Do you have any photo's of the family? Love meeting kinfolks!

RE: Transfer of Memorial
Joyce, I transferred the memorial for Gordon Reed to you. He was my 4th cousin so you and I are probably a little bit kin. Sylvia

Sorry it has taken me so long to respond, and thank you for letting me know. It was an open request, so, perhaps it was filled without the fulfill button being accessed??

RE: Georgia Stanley request
Hello again,
Can you possibly remember the close whereabouts of her gravesite, or did you happen to capture a photo? Any information would be so helpful.
Thank you again,
CRSM

Thank you so very much. I do appreciate your help, I thought I had searched both cemeteries and it must have been an oversight! Thank you again!

I've been to Cedarlawn a zillion times, always alone and on pretty much every day of the week. I've never found anything scary about it.
