Frederick Marquis Westphal was named for his father Frederick Marquis Westphal. The father's middle name came from his maternal grandfather Marquis Lafayette Goold.

RE: A. Evelyn Dimmick 177636079
Stephen;

My sources are Genealogical Notes on the Dimick Families In North America by Alan R. Dimick and THE DIMICK FAMILY-THE DYMOKES OF ENGLAND AND SOME DESCENDANTS OF ELDER THOMAS DIMICK OF BARNSTABLE, PLYMOUTH COUNTY, compiled in 1989 by Robert S. Newton

NOTE: the number indicates generation and the order, or presumed order, of birth of the children in the family group of the parents.

8-172 Wayne8 Blair Dimick (John7, Mason6, Timothy5,4, John3, Shubael2, Thomas1) son of (7-85) John Arnold Dimick and Catherine Gariss, b.-30 Jan 1871, Ten Mile, MO, d.-?, m.-1 Dec 1896, Macon, MO, Hattie Elizabeth Morris. Wayne was a postal clerk in Peoria, IL.
Children of Wayne Blair Dimick and Hattie Elizabeth Morris:
1) Blees Campbell: b.-27 Sept 1897, Kirksville, MO
2) Miriam Josephine: b.-14 Dec 1901, Peoria, IL
3) Anna Evelyn: b.-?, d.-10 Mar ?, Peoria, IL

I am researching the Dimmick surname including the variant spellings as part of my extended family research. I am documenting my work in an Ancestry public tree, "Sloan Twigs and Branches." Are you researching them also?

RE: Lucy Mae Jones Christoffersen 159911939
Stephen-

As far as why I am suggesting the parents to Lucy Mae Jones as Laura Jones #135582314 and Edwin Jones #135675074 --I have Laura McCoy Jones certificate of death (which I have added a photo copy to her Find A Grave) which lists her date of death as 3 May 1925 - her spouse listed on the death certificate is listed Ed Jones and father as John McCoy-

Edwin Jones has already been linked as her spouse as well as two of the four children. John E Jones #135582314 and Harry F Jones #175374372 (I truthfully haven't looked for the other daughter Clara yet or the other children)

The 1880 Census shows them living in Maryland, Ogle, Illinois as Frances Jones born in Pennsylvania at age 30, Edwin Jones age 30, Lucy M Jones age 7, John Jones age 6, and Clara Jones age 4.

The 1900 Census lists her as Ella F Jones from Pennsylvania living in Sioux City, Woodbury, Iowa- shows that 5 out of the 6 children are still living and have been married 28 years with Edward Jones, and the two sons John Jones and Harry Jones are both living with them.

The 1910 Census shows Laura F Jones from Pennsylvania age 54 living with Edwin Jones age 60 with Harry F Jones age 24 at this point 3 of the 6 children are now living.

And last of all the marriage license for Chris Christofferson and Lucy Jones dated 25 November 1908 in Dakota, Nebraska lists her parents as Edward Jones and Laura McCoy.

Hopefully this shows why I suggested what I did...if you have any more questions please let me know. Thanks for all you do to verify the facts...It drives me bonkers when I come across errors so I appreciate you taking the extra minute to check things out...If you don't agree with my findings please explain your findings so I can look at all of this through a new perspective and get things correct.

Thanks,

Karen Wheeler

It is a beautiful cemetery. We are staying a short time in Chatham and will be leaving soon and I like to do Find A Grave where ever I go. It was a previlage to be on these hallowed grounds. The office was most helpful. I added the same photos for his Wife who just passed away and is inurned with him. Linda

Hi Stephen,
I'm sorry that I have not responded to you sooner, but I am researching to find where I got the information that I posted in the memorial that I created for Bertha.

Please give me a little time here. I am sorry that you spent so much of your time in creating your memorial for her and then found mine. A search of the cemetery using just her first name might have saved you some time.

Find A Grave suggests that you give a volunteer 30 days to make corrections or additions.

Thanks, Linda

I read obituary as implying she died in Peoria. Obituary index indicates that as the place.

Obituary thanks the Lutheran Hillside Village and the Saint Francis Medical Center, both of which are in Peoria.

Felt this was verification.

RE: Infant Carter 104554782
I am not sure if the infant was a male or female. It would have been the first child of Elisha Elmus and Laura Elizabeth. I wonder if it was male and the he would have been a Jr?
