RE: Lewis Edwin Motter
Very interesting! As you can see, this gravestone was definitely in Elias Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in Emmitsburg. There are other Motters here as well, but none directly adjacent to his.

Watson McNair
Watson is definitely buried in Linn Grove Cemetery. This is confirmed by the cemetery office. He does not have a permanent headstone, instead he has a "temporary" placed by the cemetery. It has been buried under the grass but the cemetery personnel uncovered it for this photo request. He is buried in Block F or what I lovingly refer to as the old soldiers field. In some of the old ledgers this area is listed as the GAR field. I believe most of the Civil War veterans buried there were members of the GAR (The Grand Army of the Republic).. I have more information as I am doing research on our Civil War Veterans if you would like. Margo

Margaret G. McNair
Please note that the grave site for Margaret McNair is not located in the New St. Joseph's Cemetery. It is located in the Old St. Joseph's Cemetery which surrounds the church. They are two separate cemeteries, located about 1/2 mile apart. I have searched for this grave site to provide a photo several times at the new cemetery, and then it dawned on me that the grave site was too old to be at the new cemetery. Would you mind moving the memorial to the correct cemetery?
Thank you,
Susan Shown
