RE: Memorials
You are more than welcome to ask me anything. If I don't have the answer, I will try to find the it. This is very additive and I spend way too much time on it, but it's a passion of mine.
My oldest brother, Thomas Arthur Leitzsey, died in 2000 from multiple myeloma and after his death I was told that he had wanted to know where he came from. I made it my mission that another sibling would not die without knowing where they come from. I just hate I waited till my grandparents were gone before I got interested in it. There is so many questions I would like answered.

If you prefer to make contact through email, you can reach me that way. sue_bradley@charter.net

Just wondering if you noticed I transferred your parents to your management.

I'm sitting here staring at the name Calvin. I have wondered for so many years what the 'C' stood for in his name. Thank you so much!!! Calvin was also my maternal great-grandfather's name.

Many Find A Grave contributors do a thing they call 'mowing the rows'. What that means, they go into a cemetery and walk the rows, taking photo's of each grave marker. When they upload their photo's, if a memorial has not been created for the deceased, they will create one using the info from the grave stone. If the memorial is already on Find A Grave with no photo, they will upload the photo to the memorial. I do it all the time, especially when I'm taking a photo that was requested. I not only take the requested photo, but I will take photo's of grave stones surrounding that grave. I have received messages from people thanking me for creating a memorial for someone they had looked for for years. I would say that is how Amy's memorial and photo came to be on Find A Grave from someone you don't know. I hope I didn't confuse you.
Having a family bible is great. I wanted my paternal grandmother's bible, but it burned in a house fire. Much information can be found in those old bible's. There is so much misinformation about our George Koon on Ancestry and other genealogy sites. I have upset some people when I showed them they were wrong. There were a few Koon's from his era named George. These other people might be correct and I might be wrong, but someone needs to prove it to me.
Got my fingers crossed, hoping something is noted in that bible!

RE: Arthur G. Koon
Could you give me a name so I can see what you saw. That way I can correctly answer your question.

No, I don't know Pamela Jean. Thanks for confirming my suspicion that Arthur's middle name is Glenn. I have had a difficult time trying to research the Koon's. The only one that I can't find is George Koon, my great-grandfather, your great-great-grandfather. He was married to Margaret Melvina Livingston. She is buried in the Livingston Cemetery in Newberry County. I don't know if he is also buried there or not. It's like he vanished.

Arthur G. Koon
Hi Brenda. I saw the flower you left on Arthur's memorial page and see he is your grandfather. I hope you can clear something up for me. I have a note on his memorial stating that it is possible his middle name is really Glenn and not Gleen. Do you know which is correct?
Your great-grandfather, James Monroe Koon and my grandmother, Addie Melvina Koon Livingston, were brother and sister. If you looked at my bio page, the picture I have as my avatar is of Addie, her sister, Ida and my grandfather, Levi Charlton Livingston.

Sarah Koon Caughman
Thanks Brenda for bringing to my attention that I had not linked Sarah to her father, Arthur. Just another one of those things that makes me go hummm, why did I not do that.

I see you are a one day member to Find A Grave. Welcome aboard. This site is very addictive!
