Hi, I sent the edits for the links to Effie East's parents. That's all I have right now. Thanks for the other corrections.

Thank you so very much for the photo of this grave. As I am in Australia it would have been impossible for me . xx

Joyce E. Payson
Thank you very much for the headstone of Joyce E. Payson. Didn't know if I'd be getting that one or if she had a stone. Also see you already had the headstone on for her husband Elwood B. Payson, so was glad to get that one also.
Much appreciated,
Diane Wheeler

Hi the people listed are related to the Charles Evans in the capacity I listed. Could you put it his bio please?

Ocean View Requests
I am willing to do photo requests at Ocean View if you can find out where the people are buried. Requests of this nature must be done by relatives.

Use the following to contact them:

photo request for Ocean View
Ocean View Burial Park, owned by Diginity Memorial, is a privately owned cemetery. Dignity Memorial will not give information to a third party, you must be a relative. They feel that they could be sued for release of private information. I have the email to prove this!!!!!
If you contact their office (through email) and request their location I would take a photo for you. They would be willing to do a lookup if the request came from a family member. If you cannot figure out your connection, say you are a cousin.
Once you have the location just enter it into the memorial page and it will show on the photo request.
Thank you,

Hello again,
Thanks for the information on the websites. I guess I'll keep the memorial page until a family member closer to James would like to maintain it.

I've accepted your Edit for James, which included his birthplace. Your great grandfather's ledger, with the family history, is all I needed. Therefore, I've included a note at the beginning of James's memorial page's obituary, listing your membership information as the one who provided the birth information. If anyone else is looking for information they can contact you. I've completed the memorial page, giving bits and pieces of information I found on James/Peter. Thank you for the information you provided.

Just a note regarding possible places to look for more information on James. Since the family was of the Mennonite religion, and small communities, is possibly like the Amish. Their church usually kept records of births, marriages, and deaths of those in their community. The church records of that area are probably a great source, if you can find where originals or digitized copies are kept.

I know you said you aren't a close relation of James, but would you like me to transfer his memorial page to you to maintain?

James P. WIEBE, 149552997
You sent some Edits to me regarding James P. WIEBE. You said James was born in Steinbach. I had found a Canada, Manitoba, Birth Index which listed a Peter Wiebe, with a mother Anna Harder, born 28 March 1900, in R.M. of Hanover, Manitoba, Canada. [R.M. meaning Rural Municipality.] 1901 Canadian Census in La Broquerie, Provencher, Manitoba, shows son, Peter, age 1, born 28 March 1900, with parents listed as Johann N. & Anna Wiebe.

In 1911, his father, John, and mother, Annie, and some of his siblings, were listed in a Canada to U.S. Border crossing, and it showed their "Last Permanent Residence" as Steinbach, Canada.

What documentation do you have showing James was born in Steinbach, Manitoba?

Are you related to this family, and if so, how?

I have a duplicate of memorial #23443974. I made it before I knew the cemetery name but it has now made a duplicate which I want to remove. I will be sponsoring the other memorial and was letting you know my intentions so you could transfer the photo you have on mine to the other one.
Thank you!

RE: Collisses at Greenwich
Hello Vivian,

Thanks, I think the map confirms what I guessed C3/4 meant and narrows down the search area a bit next time I'm there, but I can't say at the moment when that will be.

Regards, Chris

Hi. Does the map you downloaded show a section C3/4? This is not a nomenclature shown on the map at the cemetery gate or on any gravestone I have come across. Section C does not appear to be subdivided or big enough for 5000 graves. Maybe it means one of the 7 parts of Section "3rd Con"?

Sorry, I never got to the David Harder request that you made. It started to rain & I was getting pretty wet & cold. It may be a few days or possibly later than next week, till I get back to do the other request.

Hi, your bio for Ethel (formerly married to Roderick McIvor) looks really good. I couldn't see adding the info to his memorial when it was really about her, so I've just linked him to her in the spousal links.

By the way, his name is spelled McIvor on the marker in Columbia Cemetery, so that's how I spelled it.
